Students are creating zoos, cat houses, dinosaur jungles, and bug gardens. They are also practicing cooperative play with their classmates. My students are exploring different ways to create structures with the different building toys we have now. \r\n\r\nThey are developing their communication skills by explaining their planning and thinking process. In addition, they're working on their emotional regulation. They often need to negotiate about what who's going to do what, and who's turn is it next. Lastly, their vocabulary is expanding. With the train tracks, I've heard them use frases such as \"expand the tracks\". The children wore the sunglasses and cheered for each other as they walked down the carpet. It was wonderful to see the worries disappear as students posed at the end of the carpet. \r\nThe decorations helped hype the students up so much! I think they really felt like VIPS with the signs.
