Also, the addition of these optic lenses has turned our physics lab into a hands-on exploration of light and energy. Because of you, my students at Moanalua High School were able to dive into the world of physics through the hands-on creation of paper roller coasters. Watching them transform cardstock paper and tape into complex machines was inspiring; they didn't just learn about kinetic and potential energy—they lived it. These materials allowed my students with IEPs to engage in authentic STEM inquiry with the tactile and visual supports they need to truly thrive alongside their peers.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your gift goes far beyond the classroom supplies. By providing the tools for this project, you helped foster a sense of confidence and collaboration in 120 students who now see themselves as capable scientists and engineers. Your support has reinforced the idea that with the right resources and a community that believes in them, every student can master complex concepts and reach their full potential. Before this project, the desks and chairs would make a huge amount of noise when students were getting settled at the beginning and end of every class. Even just pushing in a chair was a very loud ordeal. Now that we have the furniture sliders, it is so much more pleasant for students in the classroom and the students downstairs as well. We were able to get enough furniture sliders for 30 chairs and 30 desks, which is amazing! Now we are able to change the desk arrangement at any time without creating a distraction for other classrooms around us. \r\n\r\nThe students were so surprised at the materials. During the winter season, we ran out of Kleenex and they were so happy to find multiple boxes of Kleenex available to them, thanks to this project and funding. Now I am able to have 3-4 locations in the room where students can get Kleenex, instead of just one. Their immediate reaction was one of pure gratitude, seeing that people outside of our school walls care about their comfort and well-being.\r\n\r\nBeyond the snacks, we've already put our \"Spring Cleaning\" supplies to great use. My students took the lead in sprucing up our cozy room, using the Clorox Wipes and Bounty Paper Towels to deep-clean and rearrange our learning space. It was a wonderful moment of teamwork; the students took real pride in making the classroom feel fresh and organized. These resources have truly helped us maintain an environment where they feel at home and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe spirit of giving that you started is now coming full circle. Recently, some of our students have been honing their skills in Culinary Arts and have started bringing in baked samples for their peers to enjoy.
