The tiles provided calming, sensory-rich engagement that helped students improve focus, self-regulation, and emotional control, particularly for those who experienced sensory overload or anxiety. Students strengthened their gross motor skills, balance, and coordination through active movement on the tiles, while the dynamic visual and tactile stimulation made learning more engaging and accessible for all learners. Using 80 pound sulphite drawing paper versus anything less makes students feel like they are really using quality medium to work with. That speaks volumes when it comes to confidence and student flexibility.\r\n\r\nThe versatility of the 80 pound sulphite drawing paper is quite impressive. We can draw with pencil, pastels, crayons, charcoal, and paint with watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paints using this mixed media type paper. The paper has \"tooth\", as well, which allows students to layer mediums to create that perfect piece they envision.\r\n\r\nThe 12\" X 18\" size of the paper is perfect for cutting down to smaller sizes for smaller projects, and is excellent in full size for larger projects. The quality of the paper shows when we present an art show as it stands out when matted for display. Students should have the supplies they need, with the quality to match in all subjects. Quality materials hold up over time. Teachers and students alike appreciate that.","fullyFundedDate":1755705081567,"projectUrl":"project/proper-paper-for-art-students/9430042/","projectTitle":"Proper Paper For Art Students!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sara Williams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10058808_orig.jpg?crop=832,832,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750623813613","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10058808"},{"teacherId":10092748,"projectId":9724233,"letterContent":"I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Wood for their generous donation. The students have had a wonderful time creating their art portfolios and using the tempera paint sticks to design a Pop Art themed composition.\r\n\r\nTrying new things in the classroom can be an intimidating thing for students, especially when they've never tried the medium the teacher is encouraging them to use. But when they are taught to conserve and use the medium properly, they end up encouraging each other and offering advice on color mixing and other ways to use the paint sticks.\r\n\r\nThe conversation is fantastic when students are taught about how keeping a cumulative record of their art work can show them growth and development as an artist.
