These materials have introduced students to what coding is and how coding is all around us. My students were very excited when I presented the Lego kit to them explaining that General Motors and other donors had so graciously funded our Donors Choose project. I further explained that through their generosity we would be learning how to code and build a Lego robot.\r\n My students were ecstatic. They were intrigued with the contents and were eager to get started. These materials have sparked their creativity and curiosity. They will continue to inspire students for years to come to explore Lego building and robotics. We will continue to strengthen our coding skills and training other students to become coders in a fun and engaging way thanks to the generosity of General Motors and other donors who believed in our vision to bring robotics to life in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755650955954,"projectUrl":"project/rockin-robotics-with-the-tigerbots/9626189/","projectTitle":"Rockin' Robotics with the Tigerbots","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dukes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp396236_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1734707722728","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ldukes"},{"teacherId":10186728,"projectId":9619361,"letterContent":"Being able to facilitate my students' participation in the First Lego League competition has been a dream of mine for a long time. The students are being able to explore this year's competition theme of archeology through the generosity of your company! They have been excited to learn more about dinosaurs as they work to construct the Lego Triceratops model. It has not been an easy task, and that is the goal; to challenge young minds to reach extraordinary success. The older students are feverishly using the Lego Education Spike kit to build Lego robots. They are beyond ecstatic when they can program the build to do what it is designed to do. Their immediate sense of accomplishment is the encouragement they need to continue to strive for excellence.
