The printer and ink you provided have become essential tools that support learning, creativity, and student confidence every day. While many donors may be familiar with using printers at home, in a classroom setting this technology plays a much larger role in helping students engage with lessons and take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nThe printer allows students to immediately apply what they are learning. Students use it to print writing assignments, research projects, math practice, graphic organizers, and visual learning supports. Having consistent access to printed materials keeps instruction flowing smoothly and prevents learning interruptions. Students no longer have to wait or share limited resources, which allows them to stay focused and engaged. This accessibility supports organization, reinforces lessons, and meets the needs of a wide range of learners.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is seeing their work turn into a finished product. Printing their writing, artwork, and projects makes learning feel meaningful and real. Students feel proud when they can hold their work, share it with classmates, or take it home to show their families. This excitement has increased motivation across the classroom, especially for students who previously struggled with confidence. When students see their work presented neatly and clearly, they are more willing to revise, improve, and try new challenges.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from this new technology. One student who once avoided writing has become more enthusiastic about completing assignments because they know their final work will be printed and shared. Another student who learns best visually benefits from printed charts, diagrams, and step-by-step examples that help reinforce concepts. Students with learning differences have also gained support through customized printed materials, such as structured templates, enlarged text, and individualized practice sheets designed to meet their needs.\r\n\r\nBeyond academic growth, the printer has helped students build responsibility and collaboration skills. They are learning how to prepare documents carefully, proofread their work, and respect shared classroom resources. Students often work together to organize and present their projects, strengthening communication and teamwork skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour donation has made learning more accessible, engaging, and empowering for our students. The printer and ink have enhanced instruction, increased student motivation, and allowed every learner to feel proud of their work. We are truly grateful for your support and generosity. Because of you, our students have the tools they need to succeed and grow with confidence every day.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1761928532105,"projectUrl":"project/printing-for-a-purpose-student-led-serv/9641343/","projectTitle":"Printing for a Purpose: Student-Led Service Through Design","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9989832"},{"teacherId":9797052,"projectId":9641168,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for your support in donating to my student's project dreams. This project had a meaningful impact on my students' learning by allowing them to engage with hands-on, creative activities that deepened their understanding and ownership of their work. With access to the printer and sublimation ink, students were able to bring their ideas to life in a tangible way—transforming digital designs into real products they could hold, analyze, and improve. This not only strengthened their technical skills, but also boosted their confidence and motivation in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe materials provided made it possible for me to introduce new project-based lessons that wouldn't have been achievable otherwise. We were able to produce high-quality visuals, personalized items, and classroom resources that supported both individual and group learning goals.\r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for the support from The Allstate Foundation, whose generosity expanded what teaching and learning could look like in my classroom. Their contribution directly enriched my students' educational experience and opened the door to creative opportunities that will continue to benefit them throughout the school year.","fullyFundedDate":1760971565489,"projectUrl":"project/future-innovators-learning-it-and-indus/9641168/","projectTitle":"Future Innovators: Learning It and Industry Skills Through Student-Led Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McDowney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9797052_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755652958019","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9797052"},{"teacherId":9797052,"projectId":9488069,"letterContent":"The new refrigerator has been such a wonderful addition to our classroom at Murphey Middle School! My students use it daily to store water bottles, snacks, and ingredients for classroom projects that support hands-on learning and teamwork. \r\nOne of our favorite moments was when students prepared healthy smoothies as part of a nutrition and math activity—measuring ingredients, calculating proportions, and then enjoying the results of their work together. Their excitement and sense of responsibility were priceless when they first saw the refrigerator in our room—it instantly became a symbol of independence and care for their learning space.","fullyFundedDate":1755986481585,"projectUrl":"project/too-cool-for-school/9488069/","projectTitle":"Too Cool for School!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McDowney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9797052_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755652958019","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9797052"},{"teacherId":9797052,"projectId":9223246,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of the Ninja Slushie! Your support has added a fun and refreshing twist to our classroom, and we're truly grateful.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. It was a moment of pure joy—some even asked if it was \"really for us!\" The Slushie machine has quickly become a favorite, and we've already found creative ways to incorporate it into our learning environment.\r\n\r\nOne of our recent projects involved a math lesson on ratios and measurements, where students created their own slushie recipes. They calculated ingredient proportions, graphed flavor preferences, and even presented their creations to the class. It was a perfect blend of hands-on learning and fun!\r\n\r\nYour donation gave our students a peek into the possibilities of learning beyond textbooks. As we move forward, we're planning a science experiment where students will explore the freezing process and temperature control using the Slushie machine. My \"judgement free zone\" is a huge success. It may be small in size (meaning area) but is a huge success and contribution to the kids. The kids love what they call \"the chill spot\". They know that this area is a free space. The kids are free to speak and express themselves as needed. The beanbag chair is the favorite for most of my male students and of course the shell chair is known as the \"diva chair\". They were so excited to see the space decorated with the new items. One of my students screamed \"Ms. Dingle I can't believe it, it's so cute and cozy\", \"very demure Ms. Dingle\". Some of the kids are even comfortable with just sitting or laying on the rug. The wagon is my resource center. I pick up and store supplies in it. The kids call it the store (kids you got to love them).\r\n\r\nThe area has truly been a blessing. There has been many tears shed, many smiles, break downs, hugs, and resolutions that have occurred in this area. This was the goal. One particular situation that I will always remember is of a young man that is a 7th grader. He had a number of discipline referrals and his teachers were at the breaking point with him. On this particular day I asked him if he would please come with me. We entered my room and he was shocked to see the \"chill spot\" and asked if he could sit on the bean bag. He said to me \"I like it in here, its comfortable\". I asked him can we talk and everything said would not leave this room. He explained to me that his life at home was hard and stressful. He was in charge of his younger siblings and many days he is tired and sleepy when he gets to school. He is responsible for getting them dressed and ready for school everyday and also feeding them at night. He said he is up all night and have to get up early in the morning to make sure that the younger siblings are on time for school. We came up with a plan for him and now he checks in with me every other day to come in and sit down and express whatever he needs to.\r\n\r\n Your donation has not just helped create a space, but a sense of belonging for students in need. Thank you for your generosity in making this much-needed initiative possible. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will continue to have on our students' social and emotional well-being.","fullyFundedDate":1732285200295,"projectUrl":"project/lets-talk-a-judgement-free-zone/8798659/","projectTitle":"Let’s Talk!!
