One of the most impactful pieces of technology we've added is the document camera. It has truly transformed the way I can teach handwriting and foundational literacy skills to my young learners.\r\nBeing able to model writing in real time showing them exactly how to form letters, where to start, and how to move from left to right and top to bottom has made a huge difference. Many of my students are visual learners, and seeing the process modeled clearly helps them grasp concepts more quickly and confidently. It's like having a front-row seat to every demonstration!\r\nWhat excites the students most is seeing their own work or classmate examples projected for the class to learn from. It makes their efforts feel important and builds a strong sense of classroom community. They love coming up and sharing their work with the class under the camera, and it's created many proud and engaging learning moments.\r\nI've especially noticed a big impact on a few students who were struggling with letter formation and directionality at the start of the year. With the document camera, they've been able to follow along more closely and have shown huge improvements. One student in particular, who was very hesitant to write before, now volunteers eagerly and is excited to practice because she can clearly see how it's done and feels empowered to try.\r\nThis technology has truly been a blessing in our classroom.
