I am always amazed by the generosity of our donors! Because of you, our kiddos are able to learn to love reading by using our Tonie box. To see the amazement in their eyes as they choose the Tonie figure and place it on and then hear a story that they want to hear, when they want to hear it, is truly phenomenal. They are able to show ownership in choices, as well as take turns with the figures. They are now also encouraging their friends to listen to certain stories. To a pre-k class, this is an absolute must. Our room is a smaller space, so we have to be creative in how we organize our spaces. With the smaller shelf, we are able to organize our books where each child can see what we have available. Then when we added our bench, this not only created a space for sitting and getting cozy, but also for storage of other items that we can add into the area to enhance our reading or library center. My students are always so interested in what surprises we get. When we opened the box and all of them saw all of the bright colored paper that we were going to add into our art center, there were lots of giggles and screams. For them to have free reign too choose from all of the bright colors to create masterpieces was magical. They have made art for so many different people and reasons.
