These resources have become an important part of our classroom, and we use them every single day. Having access to these supplies has not only made learning more engaging, but it has also helped my students feel more prepared, confident, and excited to participate in their student led group work and teacher led small group instruction. \r\n\r\nEvery morning for our class meeting we use the various conversation cards. This is important because it helps us build the relationship we need to create a positive learning environments. The stools are used at least 3 times a day as I work with students or they work amongst themselves. These stools help us save time in transitioning and give the students a flexible seating opportunity. My Students were so excited to use the flexible seating options and gravitated toward them during open house/ meet the teacher. They are also always eager to hear the new question of the day or use the calm down ball when the emotions are high. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for my class right now are to continue to be grateful and use our donated materials in order to succeed daily. This donation has made a lasting impact, and we are thankful for the support it represents. It shows my students that their education matters and that others believe in their potential. Every time we use these materials, we are reminded of the kindness and generosity that made it possible.","fullyFundedDate":1750256232833,"projectUrl":"project/flex-seat-funding-for-the-young/9411827/","projectTitle":"Flex seat funding for the young!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Delgado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10055567"},{"teacherId":8991097,"projectId":9117426,"letterContent":"When the new classroom supplies arrived, my students were immediately excited to dive in and use them. The double-sided dry erase boards, along with the new sets of markers and erasers, have quickly become a favorite tool during math and literacy lessons. Instead of waiting to be called on, every student can now work out problems and hold up their boards to share answers, which has made participation much more engaging and equitable. The reusable dry erase pocket sleeves have also been wonderful for practicing math fluency and guided reading activities since students can write, wipe, and retry without using excess paper. The rotating desk organizers keep everything tidy and accessible, so students can independently grab the materials they need, which builds responsibility and classroom ownership.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was when students first opened the sets of premium colored pencils. Their eyes lit up at the variety of vibrant colors, and they immediately began using them to illustrate their science journals. The simple addition of quality art supplies has encouraged more creativity and pride in their work. Even the smaller items, like the bulk pencils and sharpeners, have made a huge difference in minimizing classroom disruptions—students are no longer waiting in line to sharpen pencils or searching for one that works. The cleaning supplies, from Clorox wipes to microfiber cloths, have helped us maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment, which gives families peace of mind and keeps our focus on learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students will be using these resources to support a hands-on project where they design and present \"mini lessons\" to their peers. They'll use the lap boards and flip easel to model math strategies, the colored pencils and laminating sheets to create visuals, and the dry erase sleeves to design reusable practice activities for classmates. These next steps will not only strengthen their academic skills but also build confidence, collaboration, and presentation abilities. Thanks to these generous donations, my students are set up with the tools they need to learn, create, and grow.","fullyFundedDate":1746496142033,"projectUrl":"project/new-classroom-needs/9117426/","projectTitle":"New Classroom Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Doyle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8991097_orig.jpg?crop=1716,1716,x0,y640&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1679578995609","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8991097"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_53470","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":952,"numTeachers":82,"percentFrplEligible":88,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":64,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":58.4,"schoolId":53470,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rebecca Minor Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rebecca Minor Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/gwinnett-county-public-schools/rebecca-minor-elementary-school/53470"}
