From my experience working in the library, it was overwhelming trying to keep up with all the additional texts for all the grades. This Donor's Choose Project allowed me to get all of the additional texts for the 5th grade reading and writing curriculum! For example, the first novel study we complete in 5th grade is a book by the author Sharon Creech. The project provided 6 additional books by Sharon Creech for students to read in our classroom. The list also contained books with similar subject matter to scaffold learning for all the students. The glue sticks you helped provide have become a daily essential in our learning routine. As soon as the box arrived, my students were thrilled — you'd have thought it was a box of treasure! One student exclaimed, \"Now I won't lose my notes again!\" and another said, \"This makes my journal look so neat!\"\r\n\r\nWe're currently wrapping up our science and social studies units, and the glue sticks have been a game changer. Students are using them to add colorful graphic organizers, foldables, and review charts into their journals. One especially meaningful moment was during a recent review session — students flipped confidently through their glued-in materials, highlighting key concepts and teaching each other from their own organized pages.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students now have a system that makes studying feel more manageable and less stressful. Their journals are no longer piles of loose papers — they're becoming personalized study guides that reflect their growth and effort.\r\n\r\nNext up, we're preparing for our final assessments, and these glued-in tools will be essential for review. After that, we'll be creating end-of-year reflection journals — a project where students will combine writing, illustrations, and meaningful moments from the year. The glue sticks will once again help bring those memories to life on paper.\r\n\r\nThank you for sticking with us — your support truly matters!","fullyFundedDate":1733270354214,"projectUrl":"project/stick-to-success/8972094/","projectTitle":"Stick to Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Navarro","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4638672_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1510605902817","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4638672"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_95328","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":763,"numTeachers":50,"percentFrplEligible":55,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":37,"percentWhite":27,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.0,"schoolId":95328,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mulberry Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mulberry Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/gwinnett-county-public-schools/mulberry-elementary-school/95328"}
