For many of them, it felt like a break from the minutia of the school day and a chance to simply relax and find joy in class. Since these materials were meant for my advisement students, whom I see daily, they've quickly become part of our routine. The stress balls were by far the most popular item, but every class has shown appreciation for the variety of resources.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments came during our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons. Instead of using our usual Rethink-Ed program, we tried out the Bingo game. The students loved how relatable it was, and we've now played it multiple times as a way to process feelings and emotions together. It turned what can sometimes feel like another structured lesson into something fun, interactive, and meaningful.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students will continue to incorporate these resources into our weekly SEL sessions every Monday and Tuesday. They are already asking when we'll use the games again, and I can see how much lighter the classroom atmosphere feels when they know these tools are available. Your contribution has given them not only new ways to manage stress but also opportunities to connect with one another in positive, joyful ways.","fullyFundedDate":1727060083102,"projectUrl":"project/game-on-empowering-mental-health-throug/8812380/","projectTitle":"Game On: Empowering Mental Health Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Richmond","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8991663_orig.jpg?crop=1252,1252,x100,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683761195998","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8991663"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55539","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1745,"numTeachers":107,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":82,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.4,"schoolId":55539,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Creekside High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Creekside High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/fulton-county-school-district/creekside-high-school/55539"}
