The microphone and speaker set ensured that every voice could be heard during our college fair, making presentations more engaging and accessible. The balloons and banner transformed our first semester awards ceremony into a joyful celebration that motivated students to continue striving for excellence. Equally important, the snacks provided an opportunity for students to feel welcomed in the counseling office. They served as a simple but meaningful bridge for conversations and check‑ins, helping students feel comfortable enough to share their needs, ask questions, and build stronger connections with our counseling team.\r\n\r\nWithin our counseling department, these materials allowed us to accomplish more than we could have imagined! The audio equipment has become a lasting resource that we will use for future fairs, ceremonies, and workshops, ensuring clarity and inclusion at every event. The decorations elevated our awards ceremony, making recognition moments truly special. And the snacks created a warm, inviting environment that encouraged students to stop by, engage in dialogue, and strengthen their relationship with our department.","fullyFundedDate":1762121649249,"projectUrl":"project/mindset-matters-programming/9444710/","projectTitle":"Mindset Matters Programming","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ware","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9083320_orig.jpg?crop=1846,1846,x0,y270&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725019157222","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9083320"},{"teacherId":10051105,"projectId":9515897,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, we have witnessed remarkable progress in our students'\r\nacademic levels. These materials have already made a significant impact on our student support office space, and I'm excited to share some of the ways they are being used.\r\n\r\nHow Are We Using the New Resources?\r\nWe've integrated these resources into our daily routines and session activities to help support overall mental health. The therapy games have become a favorite during our groups, where students practice coping skills in a fun, interactive way. The coloring books provide a calming break for students who need a moment to refocus and manage their stress/anxiety. The books on anxiety have sparked open discussions have been used in our mental health groups, allowing students to feel safe in sharing their own experiences and learning from one another.\r\n\r\nA Specific Student Support Office Moment\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was when we introduced the fidget toys to several students who struggles with self-management skills. As they used the fidgets, I could see the shift in their ability to regulate their emotions and reintegrate into the classroom environment. It wasn't just about keeping their hands busy – it was about giving them a tool that helped them feel less anxious so that they could process their thoughts and feelings effectively. \r\n\r\nHow Did the Students React?\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, there was a sense of excitement. We ran out of the fidget toys within the first month, because once word got around students were coming to our office to get one. Students were able to sit in the calming corner in the student support office and utilize the coloring book, bracelt kits, and the anxiety books to aid with emotional regulation. \r\n\r\nWhat Are the Next Steps for Our Students?\r\nLooking ahead, we will engage students in grief and peer support groups to aid in further development of SEL skills. These tools will continue to play an essential role in helping our students stay focused, calm, and confident as they navigate the challenges they face both in and out of school.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. Your contribution has brought so much light into our student support office, and we look forward to seeing how these materials continue to make a difference in the lives of our students at Clarkston High School.","fullyFundedDate":1723668114514,"projectUrl":"project/help-aid-student-mental-health/8654331/","projectTitle":"Help Aid Student Mental Health","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Williamson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9660987"},{"teacherId":9632467,"projectId":8647501,"letterContent":"I hope this message finds you well.
