These resources were used with small cooperative learning groups. Small groups of students used tools to experiment with STEM strategies in the environment. For this order, the goal was to have students investigate solar energy, wind energy, and robotics. The students had fun exploring. Students worked hard with concepts calling for them to work collaboratively. Students were excited to communicate their findings in oral presentations. Thank you for helping to make these learning experiences possible.\r\nStudents had better luck manipulating potential and kinetic energy when working with wind-powered vehicles. Manipulating the power of force and testing hypotheses drove explorations, and the children had fun learning.\r\nRobots are going to be very significant in the future. I wanted the students to get a feel for what robots are and what potential needs they could fill. When working with the Kiwi Robotic Crawler, students struggled to put the robots together academically. Paying attention to detail was vital. Leaning on group members was critical.
