Sharing the link with our school community also helped some in our population to find the project as a worthy cause in which to invest; so naturally, we shared updates as the funding gained momentum. When we discovered the project became fully funded, we similarly couldn't wait to share the news! It was a momentous occasion! Knowing that there are still concerned individuals out there who are looking to help others renews your faith in the kindness and thoughtfulness of humanity. We couldn't wait for the items to arrive!\r\n\r\nAnother detail that surprised and delighted us regarding the Donors Choose process, is that boxes with the items we requested began arriving very soon after we were fully funded! That was truly amazing! Some of the items were no longer available, but that was okay because we were able to order substitute items with the unused funds. How thrilling it was to open and sort the items and place them on our PBIS Deals on Wheels cart! Because of the generous nature of our donors, there are sufficient incentives to continue replenishing our cart at the beginning of the upcoming 2025 - 2026 school year!\r\n\r\nBut as for this 2024-2025 school year, the time came to roll the cart around our school to our students! As the PBIS Deals on Wheels cart made its way around the school, our students who earned enough points were able to select an item of their choice! Slime, tic tac toe games, colorful and whimsical pencils, were just some of the items they were able to pick from and yes, they were elated to see a wider selection range. Ava P. stated that she liked how she had more choices like slime and fidgets to choose from. \"I got an eraser and slime but next time, I will pick the fidget toy,\" she continued. When K. J. saw the cart, she was surprised and happy because she had earned 112 dojo points. \"I chose a fidget that lights up! It motivates me to earn more points!\" K. W. says he is trying to earn more points because it was fun to shop from the cart! Londyn S. got to choose a chain with a fox holding a ball. \"Even though I wanted two things, I wanted to earn and save my dojo points so I can shop again!\"\r\n\r\nOur students understand that their good choices earn them their dojo points and those points can be used to earn incentives! Every supporter, every donation given, contributed to making our PBIS Deals on Wheels project a success and improving our students' decision making a reality; and we just can't thank you enough for your generosity and for choosing our project to fund!","fullyFundedDate":1738624337036,"projectUrl":"project/pbis-deals-on-wheels/8999550/","projectTitle":"PBIS Deals on Wheels","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fuller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9356618"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40683","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":671,"numTeachers":54,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":80,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":31.3,"schoolId":40683,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about James H Brown Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"James H Brown Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/clayton-county-public-schools/brown-elementary-school/40683"}
