From the moment the package arrived, their eyes lit up with wonder. We've already started our \"Drone Pilots in Training\" unit, and the engagement has been off the charts.Your gift is doing so much more than providing a cool gadget. It's teaching responsibility (we have official \"pre-flight checklists\"), teamwork (everyone takes turns as pilot, co-pilot, and spotter), physics (lift, thrust, drag, and gravity have never been so fun), and even a little coding when we experiment with flight patterns. One of my shyest students, who rarely speaks up, volunteered to be the first pilot and beamed with pride when he successfully landed the drone without a crash. Moments like that are priceless, and they happened because of you.We promised photos, and we delivered! I've attached a few pictures of your drone. \r\n\r\nYou have given my students an experience they will talk about for years. On behalf of every wide-eyed pilot in our room, thank you for believing in them and for making their learning take flight (literally!).","fullyFundedDate":1758763800883,"projectUrl":"project/skys-the-limit-exploring-science-with/9752186/","projectTitle":"Sky's the Limit: Exploring Science with Drones in Grades 3-5","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Carlson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10262688"},{"teacherId":10262688,"projectId":9716091,"letterContent":"Dear Amazing Donors,I wish you could have seen their faces. The day the big box arrived with our new Bambu Lab P1S 3D printer, my students literally screamed with excitement. One of my third graders, Jayden, whispered, \"Mr. Carlson... is this REAL magic?\" That moment was made possible because of YOU, Students couldn't wait to tear it open.Because of your generosity, our elementary classroom now has a lightning-fast, enclosed 3D printer that is safe, quiet, and perfect for little hands. We wasted no time putting it to work!\r\n\r\nIn just the first two weeks we've already:\r\nPrinted custom fidget toys for students who need help focusing \r\nMade geometric solids so third graders can actually HOLD a dodecahedron while learning \r\nDesigned and printed nameplates for every desk (the kids designed them themselves in Tinkercad!) \r\nCreated replacement parts for broken classroom tools (goodbye, wobbly chair leg!)\r\n\r\nThis printer isn't just a machine – it's a doorway. For many of my students, especially those who struggle with traditional worksheets, 3D design and printing has unlocked a whole new kind of confidence. They're engineers now. They're creators. One donor made that possible for 26 kids. From the bottom of our hearts (and from Bambu the Brave the dragon who now lives on my desk), thank you, thank you, thank you.","fullyFundedDate":1758634961501,"projectUrl":"project/printing-perfect-prototypes/9716091/","projectTitle":"Printing Perfect Prototypes","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Carlson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10262688"},{"teacherId":9559255,"projectId":8737137,"letterContent":"When I first saw that people were donating to my project, I was over the moon with excitement. I went to the school the next day going on and on, about how I couldn't wait to get all of the new books for the students. I also began sharing the news with the students about the project and what materials we would receive it is was funded in full. \r\n\r\nThe morning I received the email that our class project had been funded in full, it was the first thing I shared with the students during morning meeting. They were so excited to get all of the new books, and be able to have their own books when preparing essays and completing class work. It often gets challenging for students to share, especially if they struggle with spelling or be able to copy from a book at a fast rate. Being able to hold their own book and being able to copy at their own pace makes it more efficient for the students. \r\n\r\nWhen the boxes began to arrive, I let the students help me unpack the boxes and organize the books on our classroom bookshelves. Their faces lit up like it was Christmas morning. They couldn't wait to get their hands on the new books. \r\n\r\nDue to having the extra books, it has truly transformed our classroom into a literacy rich classroom. I have noticed a great deal more of engagement from the students during our ELA block, that I didn't notice in the beginning when the students were having to share books during instruction. \r\n\r\nThis experience has led to an abundance of growth in majority of the students in my classroom so far this year. When they are able to have independent reading time, I noticed more of them using the core texts provided from the donation that YOU helped fund. My students and I will forever be grateful for your generosity to donate a generous amount to our classroom.
