My students and I have already begun using the new resources, and they have made such a meaningful difference in our daily routines and learning environment.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, the children were *thrilled*, you would have thought it was a holiday. They were especially excited to see all the snacks and fruit gummies. Several students immediately asked if they could \"save some for later,\" and others wanted to help organize everything on our class shelves. It was a sweet moment that showed just how much these items mean to them.\r\n\r\nThe Clorox Disinfecting Wipes and Lysol wipes have been a massive help in keeping our classroom clean and healthy. My students take pride in helping wipe down tables and shared materials during our cleanup transitions, and these supplies allow us to maintain a safer, more comfortable learning space each day.\r\n\r\nThe snack supplies have also been a blessing. Many of our students need a little extra fuel during the day, especially during small-group learning and afternoon centers. Having these options on hand helps them stay focused and engaged. One of my favorite moments so far was during our literacy centers: after enjoying a snack, a few students excitedly grabbed their writing tools and said they felt \"ready to learn!\"\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our class stays healthy, energized, and ready to participate fully. As we move forward with our current projects, especially our hands-on literacy and math centers, these resources will continue to support our work every single day.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your kindness. Thank you for believing in our classroom and helping our students grow.","fullyFundedDate":1757683159324,"projectUrl":"project/wipes-bites-for-bright-minds/9602721/","projectTitle":"Wipes & Bites for Bright Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sturgeon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10084149"},{"teacherId":10084149,"projectId":9478334,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom through \"Pete the Cat, Pouches, and Packed Snacks for Learning Fun!\" Your generosity has truly made a difference in our learning environment and in the lives of my students.\r\n\r\nMany of you, like us, love to read. But as you may know, teaching reading is more than just flipping pages; it's about building strong literacy skills, nurturing curiosity, and helping children find joy in stories. The new \"Pete the Cat\" books have introduced key skills like sequencing, predicting, rhyming, and identifying story elements such as character, setting, and plot. Pete's positive attitude and fun adventures have sparked some amazing conversations in class about emotions, problem-solving, and perseverance.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is an interactive and joyful experience. We read aloud together, act out stories, ask questions, and make personal connections. With Pete the Cat, students aren't just sitting quietly; they're singing, smiling, and engaging with the text. It's reading with heart and movement.\r\n\r\nSome of my students who were previously shy about reading have completely lit up. One student, who rarely participated in group discussions, now eagerly raises his hand to share what he thinks Pete will do next. Another has taken to reading Pete books during independent reading time and even asked if she could borrow one to read to her little brother at home. These are small moments that reflect significant growth in confidence, fluency, and love for reading.\r\n The snacks have become a special part of our reading routine, helping keep minds focused and tummies full.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness. You've helped create not just a classroom — but a community of readers.","fullyFundedDate":1753466532400,"projectUrl":"project/pete-the-cat-pouches-and-packed-snack/9478334/","projectTitle":"\"Pete the Cat, Pouches, and Packed Snacks for Learning Fun!\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sturgeon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10084149"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_102268","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":200,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":45,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":72.6,"schoolId":102268,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Clarke Co School District Early Learning Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Clarke Co School District Early Learning Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/clarke-county-school-district/ht-edwards-elc/102268"}
