Students are not just hearing about plants—they are experiencing the process firsthand. Moving forward, we will continue to expand our learning by documenting plant growth in journals, comparing different plants, and connecting our study to healthy eating and where food comes from. Many books also introduce essential life lessons—such as friendship, empathy, perseverance, and problem-solving—that encourage meaningful conversations during our circle time discussions.\r\n\r\n\tReading time has quickly become one of the most treasured parts of our day. Students gather eagerly on the carpet with their book buddies, turning the pages and sharing stories. Independent reading, partner reading, and teacher read-alouds now fill our classroom with language, laughter, and learning. I've also seen a boost in engagement during guided reading groups because students are excited to explore texts that reflect their interests—from animals and science to fairy tales and real-life heroes.
