This hands-on learning helps them develop critical thinking, communication, and technical skills while building confidence in their ability to tell meaningful stories through media.\r\n\r\nMy students are most excited about being able to produce professional-quality broadcasts right from our school. Having access to real studio equipment makes them feel like true filmmakers and journalists. They love seeing their work come to life on screen and shared with the wider school community.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have discovered a passion for being behind the camera or working on the technical side of production, while others have grown more confident in speaking on camera or leading the creative direction of a project. I teach a special education physical science resource class and I like to keep the students engaged and participating. The students are always asking to due projects and I decided that we would do a project with the laminating machine along with the laminating paper that was donated to the classroom. The students were so fascinated when I taught them how to actually work the machine and for them to actually create a science picture on energy transformation such as radiation, conduction, and convection. The students were able to draw pictures on energy transformations, color them with color pencils and markers, run the picture through the machine, and cut out the edges so that we could have the pictures in the classroom. I was excited myself because this is a great equipment to have in the classroom, and no matter what subject in physical science that we are discussing, the students will always be willing to participate just so they can create a project using the laminating machine. \r\nOf course, I cannot forget about the pencil sharpener which is a must in a classroom. Everyday students have to sharpen their pencils and without a pencil sharpener, that would be impossible. Thank you very much for your generosity. This helps to ensure no creative idea is lost due to limited space or technical failures (student error, possibly).
