The excitement and engagement during this activity have been incredible to see. When my students first walked in and saw the new bookcases filled with books, their faces lit up with joy. They immediately ran over, pointing to the covers, and asking, \"Can we read these right now?\" Their excitement showed just how meaningful it is to have a bright, organized library full of inviting stories.Next, we'll be diving into a reading challenge where students will set personal goals for how many books they want to explore each week. With the new bookcases and the engaging box set, every child now has access to a wide range of stories to support their literacy journey. I'm planning on using the green screen for the 5th graders this year. The students can make presentations about different topics. \r\n\r\nMy kindergarten students LOVED the hands on science experiments. They would ask every afternoon to try another new project, they enjoyed mixing different solutions. Students who have attachment difficulties gravitated to the carpet and chose quite independent activities as they transitioned to whole group. It's a very calming area. \r\n\r\nThey loved to do various activities on the carpet. In the morning, we begin our morning meeting with important phonics review and story sequencing. It's a favorite for center time; library, puzzles, read around the room activities. It has been a signature piece in our classroom. The students can't wait till it rotates to their center. They are learning addition and subtraction through rolling thr dice and moving their game pieces. This taught the students how to collaborate and problem solve as a team. \r\n\r\nThe ELA small group activities helped the students with phonological awareness. The students enjoy looking a the picture fill out the missing sound. It's engaging and is helpful for the English language learners.
