Understanding how to use the calm comfy corner is important and helps them work on their independence. Many of my students have IEP goals to communicate their needs and asking for a break is vital .\r\nMy students have loved using the beanbags for our calm corner. It also has a dual purpose of using it as a reward for when the students work hard and finish their masterpiece. My classroom at Oak Park School is fully stocked! We have enough headphones for every student computer, allowing students to practice computing skills like listening to text using Microsoft's Immersive Reader and writing responses using Microsoft's Dictate feature. We also use the microphones on the headphones for doing Google searches, creating Screen recordings, and more! These are vital tools in our Tech Lab and every year we lose several to rough handling or wear and tear. \r\n\r\nThank you also for the screen cleaner which students use to clean their devices after use.
