Sadly, I forgot to take photos of our fingerprinting lab, but the students had an amazing time learning how to use the magnetic fingerprinting powder and then analyzing their fingerprint patterns!\r\n\r\nOne of the lessons this past year was how to photograph a crime scene. Students took their laptops and began photographing multiple pieces of evidence in order to create a storyline of the crime. Students shared their perspectives and understanding of the crime scene with the class and what they think happened. When students walked into the crime scene, their eyes lit up. They were excited to explore the crime scene and work through a mock crime as detectives. \r\n\r\nAs I teach 7th grade life science, I plan to continue incorporating these supplies in my class during our human body systems unit and as pieces of inquiry to get students curious and out of their seats.
