My students were immediately excited to see the simulator in action and could not wait to start hitting shots and seeing their results. Instead of simply hitting golf balls and guessing how well they performed, students can now see real-time information about their shots and use that information to understand what they are doing well and what they need to improve.\r\n\r\nWe are using the Square Omni to make our golf practices more interactive and instructional. Students can work on different parts of their game while looking at measurable feedback such as distance, direction, and consistency. One of the most rewarding moments has been seeing students hit a shot, look at the data, and immediately want to try again to see if they can improve their numbers. It has created a positive challenge where students are learning from their mistakes and encouraging one another.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using the simulator during team practices and lessons to help students become more consistent and confident golfers. We will use the feedback from the simulator to set individual goals and track progress throughout the season. As a Title I school where many of our students may not otherwise have access to this type of technology, this resource gives them an opportunity to experience modern golf technology while developing skills that will benefit them both on and off the course.
