They are navigating a path, avoiding obstacles, and understanding cause-and-effect. Which enhances a child's spatial awareness, logical reasoning, and decision-making abilities. Mastering the tricycle builds immense self-confidence and independence. It also encourages social interaction, turn-taking, and cooperation during shared play with peers. \r\n\r\nThe magnets have introduce fundamental physics concepts like attraction and repulsion in a hands-on, tangible way. They foster curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of cause-and-effect as children experiment with how they work. They are manipulating magnetic pieces to build structures or patterns refines fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, which are crucial for tasks like writing and getting dressed. The magnetic tiles and building sets are open-ended toys that encourage creativity and imagination, allowing my students to build a wide variety of shapes and structures.\r\n\r\nThe viewers have stimulate curiosity, visual processing, and focus. It has helped with pattern and object recognition, and memory skills. When describing what they see and engaging in conversations about the images or the exploration process helps expand vocabulary and communication skills. It was very helpful!\r\n\r\n\r\n The second graders were able to raise their percents on nonfiction, relevant details, and text features about 10 percent on the STAR assessment. They also learned to talk about and share their learnings of nonfiction texts with partners, small groups and whole groups. It had a great impact on their learning. \r\n \r\n I hope to apply for grants again and tell all of my teacher friends to do the same. It was a very worth while project and made a difference. Many people want to make a difference.
