This project gave our three kindergarten classrooms many literacy center resources as well as STEM activities to add to our classroom resources. \r\n\r\nThe kids were so excited when the boxes were delivered to our classrooms, and they couldn't wait to open them. These activities are engaging, and the children have enjoyed using them. One of their favorites is the retelling story pieces for a couple of our class read alouds. These activities are multi-level and will be used over and over throughout the year. Thanks to your generosity, we rebuilt a space for creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning in our elementary art classroom.\r\n\r\nNothing compares to the joy on their faces when they hold their very own creations. Whether it's a 3D printed ice cream cone, a loom they used to weave with, a personalized nameplate, or a flexible fish with articulated joints they engineered themselves, each piece represents both artistic expression and technical skill. The students love showing off their prints at home and sharing the story behind each one.\r\n\r\nOne of the most moving parts of this project has been watching students who typically struggle with confidence or focus suddenly light up with motivation. Several students who are more reserved in traditional settings have emerged as leaders during 3D printing time, explaining their design choices to peers, decorating their creations with paint markers, and proudly displaying their finished work. The combination of art and engineering has reached students in ways we never expected.\r\n\r\nYour support provided not just a 3D printer, but a powerful tool for healing, rebuilding, and reimagining what's possible after loss. This past October, our school fell victim to Hurricane Helene and Milton. We were displaced into a different school and made the best of an unfathomable situation. Many of our families lost their homes in the hurricanes. Thankfully, we were able to stay together as a complete school and maintain our family environment. After losing nearly 20 years of gathered books in the hurricanes, I felt an emptiness as those books helped teach my kiddos about adversity, perseverance, kindness, and compassion. You provided an opportunity, with your kind donation, to recover most, if not all, of those books back into the hands of my students. \r\n\r\nI am thankful for your donation and thankful you choose this library restoration project as a donor. They couldn't wait to start using everything. The students have enjoyed using all of the equipment, but some of their favorites include the balance beam, the parachute, and the stepping stones. \r\n\r\nThe best part of this project is that all of the equipment will be going back to the beach with us next fall because all of these supplies are portable.
