By providing them at school, we remove a barrier to learning and create an equitable, welcoming environment. The students are constantly asking, \"When do we get to use the science stuff again?!\"\r\n\r\nThey have loved being able to don the lab coats, put on the safety goggles, and explore using the magnifying glasses. We have been able to explore different areas of the science curriculum in a more enhanced way with these resources. Our five senses lessons have been more involved, with students being able to magnify objects and write descriptions on lab observation sheets. \r\n\r\nWith the beakers, students have explored the concept of volume in both math and science. Students have used the Monster Math Scale to weigh different objects, and learn more about how multiple objects can have an equal amount of weight to one heavier object. \r\n\r\nWe have yet to use the volcano, but I can only imagine the looks on their faces when we finally get to that lesson. Their unwavering anticipation of the erupting volcano has them constantly asking, \"But Ms. Thomas, can we do the volcano now?!\" \r\n\r\nI want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping our students explore science and math in a more interactive, hands-on manner.
