They'll help my students—nearly all from low-income households—feel safe, focus longer during centers, and build stamina for reading and writing. With these supports, we can spend more minutes on learning and fewer on redirection.\r\nFor many of my students, comforting items like these aren't available at home. By providing them at school, we remove a barrier to learning and create an equitable, welcoming environment.
