My students really love the domino train. It is very easy to use and control. The train makes a dinging sound which kind of concerned me. I was thinking it would bother one or two of my students. I was surprised how much the students like it. Having 3 sets really made sharing easy. Lately a few of the students share and work on a large set up each day. We have a future engineer ( the building kind of engineer) who needs to place each domino down by hand. He prefers his spacing because the train puts them a bit too far apart. He loves setting them up and watching them fall while listening to the train in the distance. These dominoes are most wonderful because they are so much quieter. Some students love to dump them on the table and that sound is a trigger to others. My other dominoes were so very loud! The new ones make a much nicer sound as they hit the table.\r\n Accidents happen and together we have learned it is best to set up your own area and then work(with help) to link them together. This way if they get knocked over by accident the whole set up doesn't go down. My future engineer kindly asks for help and is very understanding when his fellow builders knock his set up down by accident. \r\n I love seeing my students work together, not wanting to knock down someone else's section. Your donation was very appreciated. I am so glad that my students get to experience this","fullyFundedDate":1762717728267,"projectUrl":"project/dominoes-for-all/9809676/","projectTitle":"Dominoes for All","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chrisanthy Vargo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8913566_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689025115037","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8913566"},{"teacherId":8913566,"projectId":8941888,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting this project. Your donation has made my classroom more complete. Having enough glue sticks has been key for fun lessons with gluing paper shapes. The blocks have been a great activity for students who finish their art projects and want to build. \r\n Having the magnetic blocks as an extra activity for the students who are more independent gives me more time to help less independent students. Some of my students create large structures and others work on fine motor skills of putting the blocks together and taking them apart. Sorting the blocks is also a favorite activity. Some students choose to sort them and put them away by color and others really like sorting them by shape. \r\n Your support helped make it possible for me to give these special students an art program that is tailored to their interests and skill set. Thank you for helping me create an environment that gives these students an opportunity to explore and express themselves through art.","fullyFundedDate":1733334730105,"projectUrl":"project/magnetic-blocks-are-a-classroom-favorite/8941888/","projectTitle":"Magnetic Blocks Are a Classroom Favorite!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chrisanthy Vargo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8913566_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689025115037","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8913566"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56210","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2239,"numTeachers":121,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":49,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.9,"schoolId":56210,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Olympic Heights Community High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Olympic Heights Community High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/palm-beach-county-public-schools/olympic-heights-community-high-school/56210"}
