Some of the students struggle with regulating their emotions so having a way to reinforce them is very beneficial. My students are all unique- some are learning English, some have never gone to school before and some live with their grandparents or just a single parent. School is an opportunity to learn social and emotional skills for them in addition to learning the requires academics.","fullyFundedDate":1742823831150,"projectUrl":"project/motivating-students-with-incentives-and/9111428/","projectTitle":"Motivating Students With Incentives and Snacks to Achieve Their Goals.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vinho","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4050333"},{"teacherId":8786258,"projectId":9323545,"letterContent":"Our students finished strong! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to put our supplies to work right away. We had crayons, pencils, and paper to complete some end of year projects. We also had headphones for each student as they worked on their final computer lessons and had some fun as well. The students were excited and proud to show off their very own crayons, and I added their names to their pencils to promote ownership and caring for their things.\r\n\r\nThe biggest reaction came from the classroom crayon set. I don't think they had ever seen such a big box of colorful crayons. One student excitedly asked, \"Wow, can we use those crayons?\" They couldn't believe that the crayons were for them. We did some fun activities and drawings to help understand mathematical arrays and multiplication. They were colorful and engaging.\r\n\r\nFinally, I was able to send home summer packets to help avoid summer slide. The packet included math and reading comprehension skills.\r\n\r\nWe couldn't have done all of this without your support. Students recognize pictures and photos which allows them to learn the vocabulary/words.
