This was such a game changing donation. I was able to use the funds to purchase materials to use with my students that I otherwise would not have done. The site- Teachers Pay Teachers is a treasure trove of teacher created lessons and materials and most are tied to the standards we teach. I have only spent a mere fraction of the funds you donated since it was such a large amount of credit on the site and it will go a long way! \r\nTwo of the projects I found focused on improving my science curriculum. We first experimented coal mining using chocolate chip cookies to understand how extracting coal affects the ground around it. The second project I found allowed the students to create mazes from straws and then use a magnet and paperclip to move through the maze! Your donations allowed that to happen. \r\nI was able to purchase 6 Block Circuit Science Kits that my students used to experiment with electric circuits and they learned how to connect them to transfer energy. Their eyes literally lit up when I brought them out. They created light and sound and made a fan run. \r\nThey also discovered (on their own) how to share energy sources and make the lights brighter and the sounds louder. I was thrilled to see them trying new things and when they get excited it makes me so happy. \r\nWe will never be able to repay you for your generosity!
