I teach students with disabilities in grades 3-5, and it is harder for them to read books that are at grade level with little to no visuals. The books I chose for this project are print-rich books. Meaning that they are at grade level, but mainly consist of pictures throughout the book. This allows my students to create that mental picture that they may not be able to when reading grade-level books without any visuals. \r\n\r\nThe students are really enjoying interacting with the new books. When students finish their work, they have two things to do: catch up with work, then read a book. They normally gravitate towards picture books with 1-5 words in them that are mainly at a kindergarten level, but I am now noticing how much more they are picking up our new books. I see how much more motivated they are now to read and are asking me every day for more books like the ones you donated.\r\n\r\nI am not just grateful to see this slight change in my students' reading habits, but it brings me immense joy to see the significant progress they have made. Your donations are greatly appreciated. I am thankful to have such a wonderful community that supports our students' education the way you do. Your support has been instrumental in enhancing our speech therapy programs, providing our students with the tools they need to improve their communication skills. Articulation therapy focuses on helping students produce clear and accurate speech sounds, which is crucial for effective communication. With these materials, our students are able to practice and refine their speech in a structured and supportive environment, leading to significant improvements in their ability to express themselves.\r\n\r\nThe impact of articulation therapy on communication is profound. Clear speech is essential for social interactions, academic success, and overall confidence. By improving their articulation, our students are better able to participate in classroom discussions, engage with their peers, and convey their thoughts and ideas more effectively.
