We built them in class. The kids had to work together to figure out how to pu it together without any help from me. It was amazing how the teams figured it out completely differently. \r\n\r\nOne group worked from the top down, one group did the opposite. One class took the third one and did it by themselves. I have to find the pictures. They all were participating and having fun. I am so glad I was able to get these. Chairs, to some may have seemed like something so simple but it truly has made the world's of a difference in our classroom. \r\n\r\nRecently, we finished our mid-year testing (our first testing round since getting the chairs) and the students expressed what a difference the chairs made for them. They were able to rock, spin and fidget without being disruptive to others. The students on my roster, who didn't get the privilege of testing in our brand new chairs said they were jealous of the kids that got to be in my room because of the chairs. \r\n\r\nThe students themselves took pride in the chairs from the moment we got them, building them themselves and also maintaining them. Some students have made it their classroom jobs to make sure the bolts are tight and nothing is loose on a regular basis. Some of those students it has given them purpose at school, kids who normally come in and goof off, come in sit in their chair spin and get to work. \r\n\r\nSo, again THANK YOU for making a difference in my students, helping them feel seen and believed in.","fullyFundedDate":1758209280414,"projectUrl":"project/sit-swivel-succeed/9341737/","projectTitle":"Sit. I had the studentsmake posters to hang in the hallways using the markers. They took very good care of them being responsible and making the poster very colorful. \r\nThe next project we used the markers for was a foldable in science on weather and climate. The students drew weather pictures and described how each weather tool monitors the weather. Students made foldables with the markers on different standards.\r\nWe are still using the markers.
