The grab-and-go math have been a huge hit, and my students love having options for math manipulatives when they're working on addition and subtraction. Having physical representations to help young students understand more abstract mathematical problems is so important!\r\n\r\nI cannot begin to express how much my students love the magnetic dry erase boards/paddles with Elkonin boxes! Each student has magnetic counters/chips that match the color of their board handle, and they love mapping and graphing the sounds in the words using dry erase markers. Because the dry erase boards also have magnetic hearts, we can use those hearts to emphasize sounds/spellings that have to be learned 'by heart' in certain high frequency words. In addition, having a class set of headphones has ensured that ALL of my students have headphones they can use when working on their tablets or listening to a book in the listening center.\r\n\r\nMy eternal thanks for what you've done for my students!","fullyFundedDate":1744931522169,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning/9254309/","projectTitle":"Hands ON Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Turner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2517550_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1687659380103","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/cheryl-turner"},{"teacherId":9062978,"projectId":9121123,"letterContent":"I am truly grateful for your generous donation of STEAM materials, including the photo printer, Legos, board games, and crafting supplies. These resources have brought a new level of excitement and creativity to our classroom that my students absolutely love.\r\n\r\nJust recently, the students used the Legos and crafting materials during a hands-on engineering challenge where they designed and built their own inventions. Seeing their imagination come to life and witnessing how they collaborated so enthusiastically was a wonderful moment that your donation made possible. The photo printer allowed us to capture and celebrate their creations instantly, which made the experience even more special.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were thrilled and immediately eager to explore and experiment. Their enthusiasm has only grown as they continue to use these tools to deepen their understanding of science, technology, engineering, art, and math through play and project-based learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to integrate these materials into upcoming lessons and free time in the classroom, where students will be applying design thinking and problem-solving skills. Your support is fueling their curiosity and helping them build confidence as young STEAM learners.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for investing in our classroom and inspiring the next generation of innovators!","fullyFundedDate":1746786214026,"projectUrl":"project/the-future-is-steam/9121123/","projectTitle":"The Future Is STEAM!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ankerson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9062978_orig.jpg?crop=1365,1366,x0,y314&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1685472171222","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9062978"},{"teacherId":9062978,"projectId":9119227,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of lap desks, flexible seating, and clipboards to our classroom. Your thoughtful contribution has truly transformed our learning environment into a more comfortable and engaging space for all my students.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these wonderful resources, my students have eagerly embraced the new seating options and tools. The flexible seating allowed them to choose spots where they felt most focused and inspired, fostering creativity and teamwork like never before.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement in the classroom was palpable. Students were thrilled to explore the different seating choices and immediately felt more motivated and at ease. It was heartwarming to see how something as simple as comfortable seating could boost their enthusiasm for learning.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we are now building on this momentum. The new seating and tools will continue to play a vital role in helping them stay organized and engaged as they explore these concepts.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for giving my students a little peek into a more dynamic and supportive classroom. Your kindness has made a big difference in the learning experience of my students. With the new supplies, we were able to create a fun and welcoming environment that inspires creativity and engagement. The materials you donated helped turn our classroom into a place where students feel excited to learn. Your support has allowed us to implement creative activities that keep students motivated and happy. This transformation would not have been possible without your generosity.\r\n\r\nOne of the highlights of our classroom transformation was the coffee-themed supplies. Thanks to your donations, we organized a special Starbucks-themed day that was not only fun but also encouraged positive behavior among the students. On this day, the classroom was filled with bright decorations, and students enjoyed tasty treats while learning. The excitement of the Starbucks theme helped students focus better, as they felt like they were part of something special. This experience showed how the right supplies can make learning more enjoyable and help reinforce positive behavior in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe construction-themed supplies brought another layer of fun to our learning environment. My students became little construction workers as we dove into our area and perimeter math unit. They used these donated materials to explore these math concepts in a hands-on way. This approach made learning feel more real and interactive, and it allowed students to work together on projects. The construction theme not only made math more engaging but also fostered teamwork and collaboration among my students. Your donations helped create these memorable experiences that will stick with them for years to come!
