One of our favorite moments was using the electric kettle during a science lesson to observe changes in states of matter. Watching their faces light up as they saw water heat and transform made the concept click in a way that a worksheet never could.\r\n\r\nWe have also been incorporating the juice boxes into our life-skills and nutrition activities, where students practice reading labels, making choices, and even participating in simple cooking labs. The white bags and Velcro dots have helped us create interactive, individualized tasks that support independence, fine motor skills, and engagement. Students love being able to physically manipulate their learning materials, and it has made a noticeable difference in both their confidence and participation.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are continuing to build on these skills by expanding our hands-on lessons and creating more real-world learning opportunities. We are working toward more complex cooking activities, science experiments, and independent task systems that allow students to apply what they've learned in meaningful ways. The large packs of construction paper have already become a daily part of our lessons, whether we are making graphic organizers, creating hands-on vocabulary cards, or designing art projects connected to our reading themes. One special moment was watching my students build their own \"Feelings Flipbooks\" using the brightly colored paper. They were so proud of their work, and the extra-large sheets made it easy for them to cut, fold, and express themselves in a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThe laminator has also made a huge difference in our classroom. With it, I can now create durable visual supports, behavior tools, and individualized learning materials that will last all year. My students were amazed to watch their projects go through the laminator. Many of them thought it was \"magic\" to see their work come out shiny and protected. These laminated tools help them stay organized, follow routines, and use visual supports independently.\r\n\r\nOur next steps involve building long-lasting learning centers, classroom visuals, and reusable task cards that will support students across subjects. The variety of snacks from yogurt melts and puffs to chips, pudding cups, and mac and cheese has allowed us to create a comforting, welcoming environment where students can take meaningful snack breaks during long lessons. These breaks help regulate emotions, improve attention, and support positive behavior throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThe plates and cutlery have already been put to great use during small celebrations and incentive activities. One of my favorite moments was watching my students' excitement as they helped set up our class snack station for the first time. They felt so grown-up, responsible, and proud to help prepare a space that we will use daily. Their faces lit up when they saw all the choices available to them some students even cheered!\r\n\r\nWe are now able to incorporate snack breaks into academic lessons as a motivator and a chance to practice social and communication skills. Students are learning to make choices, clean up after themselves, and share materials responsibly. Our next step is to continue building these routines to support independence, teamwork, and a sense of classroom community.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly made our classroom a more comfortable, joyful, and student-centered space.
