Each day, my students rotate through small group stations where they engage with decodable books, phonics manipulatives, and vocabulary games that were made possible by your generosity. One of the most memorable moments so far was during our \"Reading Detective\" project. Students worked together to identify word patterns and decode clues from their leveled readers in order to solve a fun classroom mystery. It was amazing to see how empowered they felt using their decoding strategies in a real-world context, and the collaboration and excitement during this activity made it a huge success.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were overjoyed. Their faces lit up as they opened new book bins and discovered colorful, engaging tools they could immediately relate to. One student hugged a book and said, \"I feel like a real reader now!\" It was such a powerful reminder of how access to high-quality resources can boost a child's confidence and sense of belonging in the classroom. Many of my students, especially those who struggle with reading, were thrilled to have books and games that matched their level and learning style.\r\n\r\nCurrently, we are focusing on building fluency and expanding vocabulary using the new leveled texts and phonics resources. The next exciting step is for each student to become a published author by writing their own short story using sight words and phonics patterns they've mastered. We plan to create a classroom \"Published Authors\" corner where their stories will be displayed and celebrated. Thanks to your support, my students are not only developing foundational reading skills—they are growing into confident, enthusiastic readers and writers.","fullyFundedDate":1727982990291,"projectUrl":"project/reading-centers/8440779/","projectTitle":"Reading Centers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cummings","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6822687_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1626242782762","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6822687"},{"teacherId":9557887,"projectId":8427846,"letterContent":"I hope this message finds you well.
