Eyes lit up, and joyful chatter filled the classroom as they explored the colorful boxes and imagined the fun ahead. The games quickly became a favorite part of our school wide club day, encouraging collaboration, strategic thinking, and positive social interaction. Students eagerly take turns, practice patience, and cheer each other on, all while reinforcing academic skills in math, reading, and problem-solving. The treasure box prizes have added an extra layer of motivation, with students working hard to earn rewards for positive behavior, academic growth, and kindness toward their classmates.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to integrate the board games into our school wide club day as well as classroom reward system, using them to support specific learning goals and social-emotional development. Students will also begin leading game sessions, building leadership and communication skills. The treasure box will continue to be a key part of our classroom management system, helping students set personal goals and celebrate their achievements. These resources have truly transformed our classroom environment, and we're excited to see how they continue to inspire learning and joy throughout the year.","fullyFundedDate":1757432242435,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-play-prizes-and-games/9696144/","projectTitle":"Learning Through Play: Prizes and Games for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Erhardt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4980621_orig.png?crop=317,317,x51,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666902487660","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4980621"},{"teacherId":8473171,"projectId":9603251,"letterContent":"My students and I have been using the new coloring utensils, cardstock, and poster paper to bring our notebooking projects to life. During our recent science units, students have used the materials to create colorful diagrams, charts, and models that help them organize information and visually represent what they've learned. These resources have added a creative element to our lessons, making it easier for students to take pride in their work and stay engaged in the learning process.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, the students were so excited! They couldn't wait to choose their favorite colors and start using the new materials in their notebooks. It was amazing to see how something as simple as fresh art supplies could spark so much enthusiasm and motivation to learn.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students will continue using these materials to design interactive notebook pages and collaborative posters that summarize key concepts from each unit. The new resources are helping them express their ideas more clearly, make stronger connections between topics, and build confidence in presenting their learning in creative ways.\r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for this grant and for the generosity of those who made it possible. These materials have made a meaningful difference in my classroom by giving students the tools to express their creativity and deepen their understanding of what they're learning.
