The resources from this project have quickly become an important part of our daily classroom life, helping create a learning environment where students feel supported, confident, and excited to learn. When the students first saw the new materials, their reactions were pure joy and curiosity. They eagerly explored everything and couldn't believe these supplies were just for them. The books were an instant favorite as students rushed to the classroom library to choose titles they were excited to read, and the snacks made an immediate difference by providing comfort and focus for students who need it most.\r\n\r\nThe timers and magnetic visuals have made a huge impact in helping students understand routines and manage transitions independently. Our magnetic writing visual has been especially helpful during writing block, guiding students with correct letter formation, finger spacing, and the overall flow of their writing. I have seen noticeable growth in confidence as students refer to the visual on their own while working. The whisper phones have also been a favorite during independent reading time, giving students a quiet way to read aloud to themselves. Hearing their own voices helps them build fluency, self-correct, and stay engaged without disturbing others.\r\n\r\nThe rolling cart has been a game changer for math centers, keeping materials organized and easily accessible as students rotate through hands-on activities. Thanks to your support, our next steps include continuing to build strong reading and writing skills through small-group instruction and independent practice. We are currently focusing on comprehension, sentence building, and sharing ideas through writing and drawing. The tools you provided are helping my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally as they develop responsibility, independence, and confidence. As a special education inclusion teacher, my students with disabilities are in a general education classroom all day with educational supports and accommodations provided to them as needed. One of the supports that many of them need is copied notes, as keeping up with the written notes is extremely difficult and time consuming. It is not something we can prepare ahead of time so with the access of the wireless printers we were able to place several printers in locations where the entire special education team of 5 teachers serving close to 100 ESE students can access them quickly when needed to copy notes from a teacher or student.\r\n\r\nAdditionally the students benefit a great deal from charts and visuals and we do not have the ability to make color prints or copies. The new printers and ink provided have given us that capability. We have visual aids and study guides, behavior charts, daily task sheets, and teacher materials that can be color coded, important information highlighted, or enhanced visually by being printed in color. Many of our students are transient due to working in the fields, so sometimes there are gaps in their education due to having to go where the work is. \r\nI have been purchasing Science Bundle Centers that have our students working in small groups with each unit. They get to use their hands and materials to explore the topics each unit at a time. The most exciting part for our students is they always get to work with a team to complete the activities. We use a recording sheet so the students are held accountable for what they are working on. For example, we recently completed Electrical Circuits. During center time, the students were asked to make the lightbulb light up and then test out conductors and insulators. This particular set of centers had one group actually using a lightbulb, wires, switch, and objects to test out. They then had to draw the circuit. Because of your gift, our speech-language program has been able to bring in new materials that are already making a meaningful difference for our students.\r\n\r\nWhen the new tools arrived — the mouth model, the \"Pop the Pig Game, the \"Pop Up Pirate Game, the articulation cards, and the many resources I purchased using the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card — the students' reactions told me everything. One of my quieter second-graders immediately picked up the mouth model, turned the tongue piece, and exclaimed: \"That's how I move my tongue when I say /r/!\" That moment reminded me how powerful hands-on, visual tools can be. Another student, when he saw the Pop Up Pirate game box, jumped up and said \"Can we play this now?\" — and we did. The excitement in the room was tangible.\r\n\r\nHere's how we've been using the materials:\r\n\r\nWe use the mouth model during our articulation groups to show tongue, teeth, and lip placement. For example, during our /s/ and /z/ sound group, a student placed his finger on the model's teeth and said, \"I'm touching the teeth like that.\" It helped him understand why his sound was slushy and how to correct it.\r\n\r\nThe Pop the Pig game has become a favorite motivator. Each time a student practices their target sound (for example: \"pop,\" \"pig,\" \"pump\"), they get to place a burger into the pig's mouth and push down his head. The suspense and fun keep them engaged—and many more attempts happen than in a standard drill. \r\n\r\nThe Pop Up Pirate game is being used to reinforce articulation and language simultaneously: students select a sword, name a word with their target sound (e.g., /r/ or blends), then insert the sword. It's tactile, engaging, and supports turn-taking and attention. Resources note that it's great for articulation, expressive language, and social communication skills. \r\n\r\nWith the articulation card sets and the TPT-purchased printables, I've been customizing small-group sessions to match each student's exact needs (initial, medial, final sounds; blends). We're also using the cards for homework practice, which gives students continuity outside our sessions.\r\n\r\nWhat the students say:\r\n\r\nOne third-grader, after using the articulation cards at home, said: \"Mom, I said my /l/ 10 times so I could use the pirate sword—and I beat my brother!\"\r\n\r\nA student who rarely volunteered in class raised his hand and offered: \"Can I show this to my class tomorrow?\" when holding the mouth model. That kind of ownership is exactly what we hope for.\r\n\r\nNext steps:\r\n\r\nWe will continue using the Pop games as part of our upcoming \"Speech Showcase\" where students will demonstrate their progress to parents and peers.\r\n\r\nI plan to integrate the mouth model into classroom mini-lessons (not just in my speech groups) so that mainstream classmates can also see how speech sounds are made — helping all students become more aware of articulation and communication.\r\n\r\nI will track each student's articulation accuracy, self-confidence in speaking, and fluency. At mid-year, I'll share anecdotal testimonials and data on how the new materials have influenced outcomes.\r\n\r\nI will also build a \"communication corner\" with the printables from TPT — laminated cards on display for students to use independently during free time, reinforcing target sounds and language skills.\r\n\r\nYour donation has done so much more than provide materials — it has given our students the message: Your voice matters. You are worth this investment.
