The set of portable chargers you helped provide has made a huge difference in keeping our students connected and engaged with their learning. In our class, students use technology daily to draft essays, annotate texts, access digital reading materials, and complete grammar and vocabulary activities. Before this project, dead or dying devices meant missed opportunities to participate, especially during writing workshops or online assessments. Now, students can charge their devices at their desks and stay focused on the task at hand—no more interruptions or delays.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the freedom and responsibility these chargers provide. They no longer have to stress about forgetting a charger at home or having their device die mid-essay. One student in particular, who previously struggled to keep up during peer review activities due to a dead laptop, now proudly comes to class, grabs a charger, and gets right to work. I've seen their confidence and participation grow immensely, and it's inspiring to watch how such a simple tool has removed a real barrier to success.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom and helping our students power through every paragraph, every poem, and every paper. Your generosity keeps our learning energized—literally and figuratively!","fullyFundedDate":1739565434530,"projectUrl":"project/powering-potential-portable-chargers-fo/9110560/","projectTitle":"Powering Potential: Portable Chargers for Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Willis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8805812_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666200938586","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/t-willis"},{"teacherId":9630146,"projectId":8993224,"letterContent":"When the new gardening tools and equipment arrived, our high school students were bursting with curiosity. They eagerly helped us unpack our gifts, immediately envisioning how they could use them to bring life back to our science courtyard. With a renewed sense of ownership and purpose, they set to work transforming the space into a welcoming butterfly sanctuary. Students took great care in cleaning the space out for our garden and preparing the soil. It was incredible to watch how quickly they applied their environmental science lessons in real-world, hands-on ways.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these tools will extend far beyond this project. As students dig, plant, and maintain their own personal plants and our butterfly sanctuary, they are building a foundation of environmental stewardship and scientific inquiry that will benefit future classes as well. Our courtyard is becoming not only a sanctuary for butterflies but a living laboratory for ongoing observation, research, and experimentation. Gardening will continue to provide students with tangible experiences that connect textbook knowledge to real-world environmental challenges, inspiring a deeper appreciation for ecosystems, conservation, and sustainability.\r\n\r\nA heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who generously donated to support our kids and classroom!
