This incredible tool has transformed the way my high school students engage with learning. Each student learns differently, and so this tool has benefited those who learn better visually. The visuals projected during lessons have made abstract language concepts come to life, helping students strengthen their reading, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. They are now able to see words, pictures, and interactive materials in a larger, clearer format, which has made learning both exciting and accessible for all of them.\r\n\r\nThe projector has also been a powerful aid in speech practice and group activities. My students can now watch and model correct speech sounds, participate in visual comprehension games, and collaborate on interactive lessons that encourage communication and confidence. The impact on their progress has been remarkable—students who once struggled to stay engaged are now eager to participate and share their thoughts. Thank you for giving my students this opportunity to grow and thrive through the power of visual learning.","fullyFundedDate":1726690967186,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-learning-in-speech-language-p/8639961/","projectTitle":"\"Enhancing Learning in Speech Language Pathology with Projectors\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tjon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/danielle-tjon"},{"teacherId":9995173,"projectId":9249441,"letterContent":"On behalf of South Plantation High School and I want to sincerely thank you for your generous support of our memorial garden, a place dedicated to honoring our fallen Paladins. \r\nYour contribution to honor; Susie Streicher, Ron Reed, Bill Houser, Janie Duarte, Hernan Borja, Bill Worrell, Vincent Ippolito, Connie Hammock, Melody Friedman, Brenton Wan, John Parsons, Michael Smith, Paul Liotti, Donna Rose, and Donald Smith, our fallen paladins have meant so much, not only to me personally, but also to our school community. \r\nUnfortunately, due to the weather and other unforeseen events that have delayed the garden's full completion, this is by no means the end of our journey. We are excited to share that several wonderful additions are still to come: \r\nA memorial bench will be installed by the end of December. \r\nA new garden sign is being created \r\nFlowers and additional plants will soon be added to enhance the space and bring more life and love to the garden \r\nThank you once again for supporting us on this meaningful journey. When my students first walked into the classroom and saw the colorful bins filled with stress-relief activities—slime supplies, bracelet kits, puzzles, playdough, and more—their faces lit up with joy and curiosity. One student said, \"This is exactly what I needed today,\" and that sentiment was echoed across the room.\r\n\r\nWe've used these resources to create Mental Health Day stations in our peer counseling class, where students rotated through calming, creative, and reflective activities. These moments provide students a much-needed break to reset, build emotional awareness, and bond with one another. It's been especially powerful for students who often carry stress silently—they now have tools and time to pause, reflect, and talk. The bracelet-making station has even sparked deeper conversations about friendship and support, while the coloring and puzzle areas have become quiet zones for decompression.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to make these wellness stations a regular part of our class and school-wide outreach. We're brainstorming ways to bring mini versions to other classrooms and encourage more conversations around mental health and self-care. Your support has created not just a project, but a culture shift toward compassion, awareness, and healing.
