Many of my students come from families who struggle to provide essential learning materials, making these donations invaluable to their educational success. The simple yet crucial items—pencils, highlighters, headphones, erasers, and a sharpener—have transformed our daily learning environment. Before these supplies were available, students often faced challenges completing their assignments due to a lack of basic tools. Now, with these essential items in hand, they can fully engage in their lessons without unnecessary interruptions or stress about missing materials. The sense of equity and inclusion created by having these supplies readily available has fostered a more focused and productive learning atmosphere.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these donations extends beyond just having supplies; they have enhanced our instructional activities in meaningful ways. The highlighters have helped students develop stronger reading comprehension skills by allowing them to annotate texts, identify key ideas, and highlight supporting details. The pencils and erasers have encouraged students to write more confidently, knowing they can revise and improve their work without worrying about limited resources. The headphones have been particularly beneficial for our digital learning programs, enabling students to concentrate on personalized reading exercises and assessments without distractions. By providing these resources, donors have directly supported differentiated instruction, allowing each student to receive the assistance they need to improve their reading and writing skills.\r\n\r\nUltimately, the generosity of these donors has contributed to a more positive and enriching educational experience for my students. They feel more confident and prepared in their ELA lessons, leading to greater academic success and a renewed enthusiasm for learning. The stress of not having necessary supplies has been alleviated, allowing students to focus on developing essential literacy skills. These donations have not only improved classroom efficiency but also instilled a sense of gratitude and motivation in my students. On behalf of my third-grade class, I extend my deepest appreciation to the donors who have made a lasting impact on our learning community. Their kindness and support have truly made a difference in our classroom, fostering an environment where every child has the tools they need to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1734099477164,"projectUrl":"project/daily-supplies-for-third-grade/8949632/","projectTitle":"Daily Supplies for Third Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9107460_orig.jpg?crop=1441,1441,x0,y4&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721222569401","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9107460"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98274","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":467,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":82,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":98274,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Somerset Academy Charter School - Neighborhood on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Somerset Academy Charter School - Neighborhood","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/broward-county-public-schools/somerset-academy-middle-school-miramar/98274"}
