One favorite moment was during our morning meeting when students gathered under our new clock display to practice telling time. They used the visual cues on the bulletin board to identify the hour and minute hands and explain their thinking aloud. For place value, students reference the bulletin board reminders during independent work and small groups to help them build and read numbers correctly.\r\n\r\nMy students were immediately excited! When they walked in and saw the updated bulletin boards, several of them stopped and said, \"This is so pretty!\" and \"I like the flowers!\" The bulletin board grabbed their attention right away, and they were eager to talk about what the posters meant. The clock especially sparked curiosity—students began asking questions and pointing out the numbers before the lesson even started. \r\nThese resources will continue to support my student learning by serving as visual anchors that students can independently reference as they grow more confident in math.","fullyFundedDate":1747143172494,"projectUrl":"project/creative-bulletin-boards/9104769/","projectTitle":"Creative Bulletin Boards","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Forbes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9888161"},{"teacherId":8116845,"projectId":9031348,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support our classroom rug has already made such a beautiful difference! It's become the heart of our room, where we come together every day for morning meetings, read-alouds, and group discussions. One of my favorite moments so far was during our \"Kindness Circle.\" My students sat in a cozy circle on the rug, taking turns sharing kind words about each other. It was one of those quiet, powerful moments that reminded me why this space matters so much.\r\n\r\nWhen the rug first arrived, the kids were beyond excited! They immediately ran over, sat down, stretched out, and said things like, \"This feels like home!\" Their joy was so genuine it was clear right away that this wasn't just a rug, it was their space.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on a storytelling unit, and the rug has become our go-to spot for partner reading and small group storytelling games. It gives my students a warm, safe space to connect, listen, and grow together. Thank you for making that possible. At first, it was meant to be something fun and lighthearted—a special treat at the end of a long week. Every Friday, my students eagerly anticipated pulling out their fidget toys, and the excitement in the room was contagious.\r\n\r\nBut what surprised me most was how quickly this \"small treat\" revealed itself as something so much more. I noticed that the moment those fidgets were in their hands, my students became calmer, more engaged, and more focused on their work. The room shifted into a place of quiet productivity, and the students—who once might have been restless or distracted—were suddenly deeply invested in the task at hand.\r\n\r\nIt was a powerful reminder that learning doesn't always look the same for every child. For some, having a small tool in their hands gives them the focus their minds need. For others, it offers comfort and a sense of security. And for all of them, it brought joy and a renewed confidence in their ability to succeed.\r\n\r\nWhat began as Fidget Fridays has now grown into something I've decided to embrace every day. If something as simple as a fidget toy can transform not just focus, but also confidence, peace, and unity in the classroom, why should it only be reserved for one day a week?\r\n\r\nNow, every day can be a day where my students have what they need to thrive. It's a reminder that sometimes, the smallest adjustments can lead to the biggest breakthroughs. And in those breakthroughs, we discover the heart of teaching: creating a space where every student feels equipped, empowered, and ready to learn","fullyFundedDate":1746821071597,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-creativity-and-social-enhancem/9033553/","projectTitle":"Sensory, Creativity, and Social Enhancements","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Forbes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9888161"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_45075","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":579,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":69,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"12.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":46.9,"schoolId":45075,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Coral Springs Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Coral Springs Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/broward-county-public-schools/coral-springs-elementary-school/45075"}
