These topics can be tough to grasp, but the paper circuit project offered a way for each scholar to visualize the concepts. Middle schoolers in my classes have been able to recall information learned during review sessions by referencing the circuit project, too! \r\n\r\nI enjoy the collaboration I witnessed as they helped each other with circuit construction. Some scholars even showed up after school to have more time to work on their project. Nothing beats the genuine smile that comes from watching their project light up for the first time! \r\n\r\nWe are already brainstorming ways to incorporate what we are learning into future projects. Additionally, we look forward to connecting the paper circuits to other technology and sharing with others at our school. More to come as our class continues exploring!\r\n\r\nThank you sincerely for providing resources we can use to light up learning (and faces) in middle school science - for everyone!","fullyFundedDate":1760655525969,"projectUrl":"project/using-paper-circuits-to-light-up-middle/9769669/","projectTitle":"Using Paper Circuits to Light Up Middle School Science!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Layne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10291964_orig.jpg?crop=694,694,x27,y105&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763339791164","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-layne-science"},{"teacherId":10291964,"projectId":9769472,"letterContent":"Thank you for the experiences your BBC micro:bits donation offered within our middle school science classroom!\r\n\r\nThe micro:bit technology introduced several scholars to coding for the first time and provided a hands-on way to experience what they were learning about energy transformations. Beyond the tangible benefits provided, micro:bit technology tools motivated and unified scholars in the following positive ways:\r\n\r\n* Scholars persevered through challenging aspects of the learning process because they wanted to complete a particular project!\r\n\r\n* Scholars who learned something first, readily assisted their classmates who had questions. The guidance was shared and received with patience and kindness. I can see many of them assisting younger scholars as we share micro:bits and coding with the rest of our school one day!\r\n\r\n* Scholars of all academic achievement levels were engaged in shared classroom learning experiences!\r\n\r\nWhether the excitement was about receiving an introduction to coding, watching the lights display a pattern they created, or about participation in a hands-on activity, many scholars were excited most about the music-making aspects and look forward to exploring the limits of The Noise Pack. \r\n\r\nScholars who particularly warmed to the technology are curiously exploring their way through one Makecode project after another. One mentioned his interest in becoming an engineer one day, thank to his micro:bit experience!\r\n\r\nBy creating a series of opportunities for scholars to succeed, micro:bit technology helps students feel proud of their personal achievements!","fullyFundedDate":1760655526178,"projectUrl":"project/coding-exploration-a-macrobunch-with-m/9769472/","projectTitle":"Coding Exploration: A Macro:Bunch with micro:bits!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Layne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10291964_orig.jpg?crop=694,694,x27,y105&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763339791164","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-layne-science"},{"teacherId":9935461,"projectId":9142237,"letterContent":"We want to thank you for all the donations to classroom.
