Thanks to your contribution, we have received new learning resources that are already making a meaningful difference for our students. Just this week, the children explored our new sensory and hands-on materials, and their excitement was truly inspiring! One student, who is usually hesitant to try new activities, eagerly engaged with the tactile alphabet materials, demonstrating focus and curiosity in ways we haven't seen before.\r\n\r\nThese materials are helping us make learning more accessible and engaging for every child. During a recent literacy activity, students used our new books and letter puzzles to explore letter recognition and early reading skills. One student, who typically struggles to attend during circle time, was able to match letters to corresponding pictures with minimal support, proudly saying the letter names aloud. Seeing the children make these connections and celebrate their progress reminds us how critical hands-on tools are in fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning.\r\n\r\nAs we continue to incorporate these materials into our daily lessons and upcoming projects, such as our unit on animals and nature, your support will have a lasting impact on our students' growth and engagement. Because of you, our students now have access to new materials specifically designed to enhance early literacy skills, and the impact has already been incredible to see.\r\n\r\nWe are using these new resources every day during our unstructured play centers, small-group instruction, and have incorporated the materials into sensory bins. The materials are helping students explore letters, sounds, and stories in hands-on and engaging ways that meet their individual learning needs. One especially meaningful moment was watching a student get very excited over the fall sensory bin we created using the donated leaf letters. She was using her magnifying class to find the letters! These moments build confidence and a love of learning that is so important at this age.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions said it all—wide eyes, excitement, and lots of curiosity. They were drawn to the bright visuals and interactive features, and many immediately wanted to touch, explore, and begin using them. The materials feel inviting and accessible, which is essential for our learners, and they quickly became a favorite part of our daily routine.\r\n\r\nNext, our students will continue using these literacy resources to strengthen foundational skills such as letter recognition, vocabulary development, listening comprehension, and early communication. We will build on these skills through repeated practice, guided play, and shared reading experiences. These materials will also support students as they work toward greater independence and prepare for future classroom success.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a meaningful difference in our classroom and in the lives of our young learners. Thank you for believing in our students and helping create joyful, engaging literacy experiences that will support them for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1760655427830,"projectUrl":"project/little-bucs-early-learning-literacy-proj/9828817/","projectTitle":"Little Bucs Early Learning Literacy Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Krajewski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10312066"},{"teacherId":10312628,"projectId":9830055,"letterContent":"I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your kindness, generosity, and belief in my students. Your contributions have made a meaningful impact on our classroom, and we are truly grateful for your support. As I stated before the goal of the classroom with this project was to provide many practice opportunities and exposure to as much language as possible. The use of books and hands-on literacy toys is a wonderful way for the preschoolers to learn some prewriting and reading skills. \r\nMany of the students in the classroom are non-verbal or use other modes of communication. Having the materials to make stories come together with more than just a book allows the students to participate in what is being read to them. One of their favorites was \"The Old Lady that Swallowed a Fly\" puppet. When I read them that story now, they are super excited to be able to match the part in the story that she is swallowing and put it in her mouth. They laugh with joy. Our students learn better with having items that they can play with and participate in activities with. I received several books for the classroom and I myself have started to make materials to go along with the stories that we have. Our books are put in with our themes each week so some of them we have gotten to use, and some are on the horizon. I just want to thank you again for allowing my classroom to be apart of such a great program.\r\nAnother one of their favorites so far that we have trialed is the liquid eye droppers. We have used colored water and put them on cotton to watch the color spread. We made Christmas wreathes and trees, and they had so much joy doing this. If gives them the opportunity to create their own magic. \r\nI have several students that sitting still for an activity is really hard for them and being able to implement the sensory seat peddles has allowed my students who require sensory input the opportunity to have movement incorporated into learning.\r\nWe also received a couple puppets and everyday when we read a story a student gets to choose one of the puppets for me to use to read the story. They love this. They are actually staying engaged and watching as I read page per page. \r\nI have one little guy that loves the pop toy with the small hammer. He has a hard time choosing a toy and sticking with it for any amount of time, however this has been a great choice for him.\r\nWe have several more items that are on the horizon to try and I am certain that they are going to enjoy each and every one of them. \r\nBecause of your donations, my students now have access to the tools and resources they need to learn, explore, and grow in ways that were not possible before. Your generosity has brought excitement and joy into our classroom, and it has inspired my students to try new things and to make their own creations. \r\nThank you for investing in our future and for showing my students that there are people who care about their education and their success. Your support has made a lasting difference.","fullyFundedDate":1760659188318,"projectUrl":"project/learning-to-read-to-succeed/9830055/","projectTitle":"Learning to Read to Succeed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rains","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10312628"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59708","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":423,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":24,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.2,"schoolId":59708,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morris Early Childhood Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Morris Early Childhood Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/delaware/milford-school-district/morris-early-childhood-ctr/59708"}
