With your support, my students now have more opportunities to participate in hands-on projects and present their work to their classmates. The desk bands have been especially helpful—allowing students to move quietly and release energy without disrupting the learning environment. Because of this, we are able to stay focused and work through more material with fewer distractions.\r\n\r\nThe organizers you donated are already being put to great use. They now hold our IEP binders for reading, math, and transition goals, which helps students stay organized and more self-sufficient as they work toward their individual goals. This level of independence has been incredibly empowering for them.\r\n\r\nThe students are loving the desk bands. We even took a few minutes to explore and get used to them, and now they feel like a natural part of the classroom. They were also very excited to choose stickers from the organizer as rewards, and they are grateful for the additional colors and larger paper that help bring their posters and presentations to life.\r\n\r\nOur next project is to use the colored tape to create a life-size graph so we can plot points and build linear equations right on the floor—another valuable hands-on learning experience. I hope to continue expanding our hands-on math materials to support the curriculum even further.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. Your donations are making a real difference every single day, and my students and I are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1761921957032,"projectUrl":"project/struggling-readers/9864188/","projectTitle":"Struggling Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Read","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10335561"},{"teacherId":9067223,"projectId":9820645,"letterContent":"Our class has jumped right into using the new flexible seating and reading tools, and they've already made a noticeable difference. The wobbly stools and yoga ball seats have especially helped my students who need movement to stay focused... allowing them to channel their energy into productive engagement rather than distractions. The highlight strips and guided reading strips have become a staple in our class. Students use them during independent reading, small group instruction, and even during assessments to track text more confidently.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was when the students first walked in and realized they had choices in how and where they could sit. Their reactions ranged from excited whispers to big smiles to curious testing of each option. Students who typically struggle with sustained attention were immediately drawn to the movement options, and it was rewarding to watch them settle into reading with noticeably increased focus.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to support our ongoing reading fluency and comprehension lessons. As we deepen our guided reading groups, the highlight strips and tracking tools will help students develop stronger scanning, decoding, and chunking skills. The seating options will remain a part of our routine, ensuring every student can learn in an environment that supports their individual learning needs. Thanks to these donated materials, our classroom is evolving into a more comfortable, inclusive, and student centered learning space.","fullyFundedDate":1760325979708,"projectUrl":"project/write-read-and-succeed/9820645/","projectTitle":"Write, Read, and Succeed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9067223_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1685975385228","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9067223"},{"teacherId":9067223,"projectId":9115154,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of my classroom through DonorsChoose. Whether it's during independent reading, vocabulary practice, or using online platforms that support their ELA growth, these headphones help students stay focused and feel confident in their own space.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, it's always my goal to create a classroom where all students have the tools they need to succeed. Thanks to your kindness, that goal just became a reality. The excitement on their faces when we unboxed the headphones was priceless!
