Because of your donation, our students now have access to sensory-based literacy tools such as letter stamps, play dough, and sensory bins—resources that have made a meaningful difference in their learning and engagement.\r\n\r\nThese tools have had a powerful impact on our students' attention and participation during literacy activities. Many preschoolers are still developing the ability to sit, attend, and engage in structured learning tasks. By incorporating hands-on sensory materials, students are better able to remain focused, regulate their bodies, and actively participate in learning experiences.\r\n\r\nLetter stamps and play dough have helped children strengthen fine motor skills while practicing letter recognition, name formation, and early writing skills. These materials allow students to explore letters in a playful, low-pressure way, increasing confidence and motivation to participate in literacy tasks. Sensory bins have supported language development by encouraging exploration, vocabulary use, and collaborative play, while also helping students stay engaged for longer periods of time.\r\n\r\nOverall, these sensory tools have transformed literacy time into an inclusive, engaging experience where students are excited to learn. Children who previously struggled with attention or participation are now more involved, focused, and eager to explore letters and sounds. Your support has helped create a learning environment that meets the developmental needs of all our preschoolers and sets a strong foundation for future reading and writing success.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and making a lasting impact on their early learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1760763047299,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-and-sensory-regulation/9833527/","projectTitle":"Literacy and Sensory Regulation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Torrie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2569356"},{"teacherId":9917365,"projectId":9100959,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contributions to our school! The wonder and joy on the faces of our students and their families as they entered the glowing wonderland you helped create were absolutely incredible. Thank you!!!\r\n\r\nGlow and Read address began to address the needs of our kindergarten students who begin with little or no pre-reading skills and phonemic awareness. I aimed to make learning to read fun by immersing them in both conventional and non-conventional literacy experiences. Your contribution made this possible.\r\n\r\nThe children were thrilled to participate in activities like glowing hopscotch phonics, relay races with sight words, and light table phonics. The gym was filled with word wonder!!! In the library, watching the local basketball team engage in flashlight reading with the students was truly inspiring and, I believe, a life-changing moment that sparked a love for reading. The word scavenger hunt and glow coloring added to the reading excitement for students and their families. While the auditorium transformed into a stage for reading comprehension fun. The auditorium came alive with glowing flashlights, reading, and music, creating an unforgettable story experience.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this fun night of glow, wonder, and the joy of reading possible. \r\n\r\nYour support is invaluable in helping my students on their journey to literacy.","fullyFundedDate":1689774218164,"projectUrl":"project/were-reading-were-glowing/7502988/","projectTitle":"We're Reading, We're Glowing!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lester","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3765257_orig.jpg?crop=1792,1792,x1139,y998&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1564260028787","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3765257"},{"teacherId":7657033,"projectId":5306262,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations. For these students it was their first experience in school. I quickly needed items to help keep them engaged, organized, and communicating. Most students were non-verbal, so having access to ready-made visuals organization items, and other very useful resources from Teachers Pay Teachers were a huge help! The students enjoyed the items and would work to use them if they weren't already incorporated with instruction. These students were learning to sit at a table. Over time and with the help of these materials they began to want to be at the table and could attend to tasks for greater lengths of time.
