The flexible seating, erasable pens, high-interest reading books, and writing journals have made a remarkable difference in our students' daily learning experiences. From the moment these materials were introduced, there was a noticeable shift in energy and enthusiasm. Students were immediately curious, excited, and eager to engage with the new resources. Your support has not only supplied tangible tools for learning but has also demonstrated to our students that their growth and success truly matter.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating has transformed the physical environment of our classroom. Students now have the opportunity to choose seating options that help them feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. This sense of choice has encouraged responsibility and independence, while also improving attention and productivity during reading and writing time. The high-interest reading books have been especially impactful. These titles capture a wide range of interests and reading levels, allowing every student to find something that sparks curiosity. As a result, students are engaging in reading in new and exciting ways. Conversations about books have become more frequent and more thoughtful, and even students who once hesitated to read are now eagerly participating. The erasable pens and writing journals have further enhanced this enthusiasm. Students take pride in their writing, revising their work confidently and thoughtfully without fear of making mistakes. The ability to edit and improve their responses has fostered a growth mindset and a willingness to take academic risks.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these materials have strengthened our focus on reading comprehension, which is a central goal in our classroom this year. We are working diligently to help students move beyond simply decoding words and toward truly understanding and analyzing what they read. A key component of comprehension is writing about reading, and the new journals have provided the perfect space for students to reflect, respond, and think critically about texts. Students are interacting with what they read at a much deeper level—making connections, asking questions, summarizing key ideas, and expressing opinions supported by evidence. Writing has become a natural extension of reading rather than a separate task. Because of your generosity, our students are not only reading more frequently but also developing the skills necessary to become thoughtful, confident, and capable readers and writers. Your contribution has had a lasting and meaningful impact, and we are truly grateful for your investment in our students' academic journey.","fullyFundedDate":1760802916498,"projectUrl":"project/building-literacy-and-focus-to-engage-yo/9835752/","projectTitle":"Building Literacy and Focus to Engage Young Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Levesque","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/994597"},{"teacherId":7717757,"projectId":9825829,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous contributions which funded my classroom literacy projects. Your kindness provided me and my students with more engaging opportunities for learning.\r\n Small group reading instruction has become more hands-on with the books and games that I was able to purchase. It's wonderful to see the level of enthusiasm when students are provided with more choices on how to participate.\r\n Thank you for your kindness and generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1760464110833,"projectUrl":"project/delaware-literacy-project/9825829/","projectTitle":"Delaware Literacy Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flaherty","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7717757"},{"teacherId":6667321,"projectId":9816057,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of the magnet boards for our K–5 students. As a reading specialist, I am using these boards daily across grade levels during small-group instruction to support phonics, word building, and spelling patterns. Students use the magnetic letters to map sounds, build and manipulate words, and practice decoding in a hands-on way. One standout moment was watching a first grader who typically struggles with blending light up when they were able to physically move the sounds and read the word independently.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the magnet boards, their excitement was immediate. They were eager to touch, build, and \"play\" with words, and engagement increased right away. The boards have transformed our lessons into interactive experiences where students feel confident taking risks and trying again. Next, we will continue using the magnet boards to deepen phonics instruction, move into more complex spelling patterns, and support sentence building and encoding across grades. Your generosity has truly strengthened our literacy instruction and given students tools that make learning to read both meaningful and joyful.","fullyFundedDate":1760305080256,"projectUrl":"project/magnet-board-for-reading-group/9816057/","projectTitle":"Magnet Board for Reading Group!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Slimbock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6667321_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y635&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718284618739","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6667321"},{"teacherId":10309755,"projectId":9821127,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and support of my kindergarten classroom. Because of you, my students have access to flexible seating that has made a meaningful difference during our literacy blocks. The variety of seating options has helped improve student engagement, focus, and comfort, allowing children to learn in ways that best meet their individual needs. Your kindness has truly enhanced our daily learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe magnet tiles with letters have quickly become a classroom favorite. My students absolutely love using magnet tiles during playtime, and it has been so exciting to see their joy continue during small group instruction. They felt like they were still playing while practicing important literacy skills such as CVC blending and segmenting. This playful, hands-on approach has helped build confidence and enthusiasm for reading while making learning both fun and effective.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the donated books have greatly enriched our classroom library. They have helped bring inclusion and diversity into our daily reading experiences, allowing all students to see themselves reflected in the stories we share. Your generosity and continued support of our Title I school mean more than words can express. Thank you for investing in my students, believing in their potential, and helping create a classroom where every child feels supported, included, and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for being so gracious and generous in your support. I feel truly blessed to have donors like you who care so deeply about my students and their success. I am now able to provide my students with a \"lending library\" to make sure each and every student has access to reading material each night! They are so excited each day to choose a new book to borrow and read at home with an adult. We also are able to use the books during free time and read alouds.
