Because of you, my students now have access to materials that make learning more engaging, interactive, and meaningful every single day! As a Title 1 school, these resources truly matter, and your kindness has helped ensure all students have the tools they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nThe reading comprehension journals and novels are strengthening students' reading skills through daily practice and small-group discussions, helping them build confidence as readers and thinkers. The whiteboards are being used for fluency and spelling intervention groups that take place daily, as well as for quick checks in math. The boards also help encourage participation from every student because they are a \"special\" tool used only during these small group sessions.\r\n\r\nThe new globe and rolling podium have made teaching more efficient and interactive. The globe helps bring our social studies lessons to life, enabling students to better connect with the material being taught. It is difficult to understand the size and structure of the Earth by looking at a flat map on an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper! And the podium has allowed me to move freely and connect with students throughout the classroom while keeping my keyboard, mouse, and teaching materials close at hand. \r\n\r\nYour support has already made a lasting impact on our learning environment, and my students and I are incredibly grateful for your investment in their education. \r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom and the power of learning!","fullyFundedDate":1760377141954,"projectUrl":"project/learning-takes-a-miraculous-journey/9823106/","projectTitle":"Learning Takes a Miraculous Journey","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hamilton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1786162_orig.png?crop=147,147,x0,y65&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760366723646","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1786162"},{"teacherId":10260917,"projectId":9823022,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of Reading Across Cultures: Bilingual Books for Bright Minds. Your contribution has made a meaningful difference in my Spanish RA classroom, and I am truly grateful for your commitment to literacy and cultural learning.\r\n\r\nThe bilingual books you provided introduce students to far more than vocabulary. Through these texts, students are developing early literacy skills such as comprehension, making connections, and understanding story structure, while also being exposed to cultural perspectives and language patterns in Spanish. These books help students see reading not just as decoding words, but as a way to explore ideas, emotions, and cultures.\r\n\r\nReading in my classroom is an interactive and flexible experience. Students engage with books during whole-group read-alouds, small-group activities, and independent reading time. I also created a quiet corner where students can choose a book and read at their own pace. This space has become especially valuable for students who need a calm environment to focus and enjoy reading.\r\n\r\nOne of my main goals is to instill a love for the Spanish language—particularly in students who are not part of the Spanish immersion program and may initially feel intimidated by learning a new language. The bilingual books have helped lower that barrier. Seeing familiar ideas presented in both languages builds confidence and curiosity, making Spanish feel accessible and exciting.\r\n\r\nInterestingly, the students who have benefited the most are those who often struggle with focus. Having these engaging, visually rich books available in the quiet corner has been a great success. These students are choosing to read, staying engaged longer, and developing a positive relationship with books and language.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and for supporting bilingual literacy. Your generosity is helping nurture confident, curious, and culturally aware readers.","fullyFundedDate":1760375104990,"projectUrl":"project/reading-across-cultures-bilingual-books/9823022/","projectTitle":"Reading Across Cultures: Bilingual Books for Bright Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Sra.
