Because of your contributions, our students are actively using new gardening and composting resources to prepare garden beds, test soil conditions, and better understand sustainable food systems. One memorable moment has been watching students collaborate to plan what to grow next and how those ingredients will eventually be used in our kitchens.\r\n\r\n When the materials arrived, students were excited and eager to get started. Many immediately wanted to explore the tools, ask questions, and take ownership of the garden space. The hands-on nature of the resources helped spark curiosity and confidence, making learning feel purposeful and engaging.\r\n\r\n Next, students will continue preparing the garden for upcoming planting cycles while applying their knowledge to cooking and baking projects connected to our club fundraisers. These efforts will lead into recipe development, meal preparation, and eventually our spring farm stand, where students will showcase their work for the school community. Thanks to your support, students are experiencing the full journey from seed to recipe to community, doing so while building valuable skills in collaboration, sustainability, and leadership.","fullyFundedDate":1746048318982,"projectUrl":"project/the-farm-to-table-initiative/9263806/","projectTitle":"The Farm to Table Initiative","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Linkstrom","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9461673_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745327864407","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/amityfarmtotable"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44058","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1347,"numTeachers":130,"percentFrplEligible":14,"percentAsian":15,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":67,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.8,"schoolId":44058,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Amity Regional High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Amity Regional High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/connecticut/regional-school-district-5/amity-region-5-senior-high-school/44058"}
