Classroom snacks provided motivation and ensured all students were fed and ready to learn. Kitchen and laundry supplies made it possible for my living skills students to learn in a hands on manner. \r\n \r\nThe laundry detergent has been so helpful for many reasons. Besides learning laundry skills, my classroom has partnered with our school's free thrift store. My students have learned job skills and laundered clothing for the store, which benefits many students in our community. \r\n\r\nEach time a box arrived, students would ask what came with excitement! Along with living skills items, I received small white boards that have been so impactful for student learning. Students have been able to utilize boards during lessons and I have used them when individualizing written information for different students.
