They were so thrilled to receive their own copy of Mad Libs, our wacky word activity that was a favorite class activity.\r\n\r\nAs soon as students received their personal copy, they grabbed a partner and started creating their own silly stories. Several students mentioned that they were excited to share the Mad Libs activity with their families, and play on car rides over the summer.\r\n\r\nYour gift not only made them happy in the moment, but continued to reinforce important grammar skills that we had worked on throughout the year. Things we could not have done without you! \r\n\r\nMost of the materials were delivered by the time the students started. They LOVED the bean bag chairs and the colorful stools at the back table. We had to wait for the bean bags to fluff up and boy did they keep me accountable to use them when they were ready! The best thing was the rug. We did not have a rug for a few days so we sat on the floor, but kept talking about it. The rug was delivered at the end of the day so the kids came in the next morning and screamed! It was really nice to see how excited they were about having a brand new rug. So many other people came in and complimented how great it made the room look. \r\n\r\nStools: Right now, the stools are being used at the back table for small group work. The students love the colors and how comfortable the padding is. What's great is that the stools move so easily and safely around the room. \r\n\r\nMagnetic Notebook Page: This has been sooooooo helpful in setting up their writing journals in a neat and organized way. I can model this on the board and they have a visual to follow.\r\n\r\nRug: A splash of comfortable color to do while group learning. What is great, is the puzzle pieces to give them a sense of their personal space. I also pull small groups on the rug for a change of scenery! \r\n\r\nBean Bags: Each day we switch who gets to sit in the book nook on the bean bags. It gives them a small space to learn and they love the bean bags! \r\n\r\nWhiteboards and Erasers: This is helpful for on the goal learning!
