Because of you, I was able to add many engaging titles, especially books that support my Spanish-speaking students and students who are not yet reading on a fifth-grade level.\r\n\r\nMy goal was to choose books that students would feel excited to read—books that did not make them feel different, but instead made them feel confident and included. These books are used in many ways throughout our day. Students read them at home for their reading logs as part of their homework, giving them extra practice and building their confidence as readers.\r\n\r\n Many of the books you purchased are now part of our classroom library, so when students finish their assigned reading, they can grab a book that is just right for them. This gives them the opportunity to read for enjoyment, explore new topics, and maybe even go on an adventure through a story.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has made a meaningful impact on my students' love of reading and their belief in themselves as readers. Thank you for investing in my classroom and in the success of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1759892823281,"projectUrl":"project/books-that-speak-to-us/9731038/","projectTitle":"Books That Speak to Us!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ekstrom","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1461218_orig.jpg?crop=1753,1753,x645,y332&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1628294567438","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1461218"},{"teacherId":3557343,"projectId":8918560,"letterContent":"The Tremendous Technology DonorsChoose project brought a transformative impact to my students by equipping them with new computers, headphones, DVD players, and a tripod. These resources opened up new opportunities for interactive learning, allowing students to engage with digital tools that enhanced their understanding of various subjects. The new computers provided access to educational software and online research, fostering independent learning and critical thinking. With high-quality headphones, the MLL students could listen to individual lessons without distractions, improving their ability to absorb and retain information.\r\n\r\nThe addition of DVD players and a tripod further enriched the classroom experience. The DVD players enabled students to watch educational videos and documentaries, reinforcing lessons with visual and auditory learning. The tripod allowed for creative multimedia projects, such as recording presentations, conducting virtual field trips, and documenting classroom activities. These tools not only supported academic growth but also boosted student engagement, motivation, and collaboration.
