Basic supplies, health and beauty aids, feminine products and many other essentials have enables my students to have access to things that help them learn about personal hygiene. As teenagers, this is so important for them but also by providing them to my students it allows them to \"take what they need\" without feeling embarrassed! \r\n\r\nWe often think providing students with pencils and paper is all that matters but to a teenager that tube of chapstick might just help them feel confident in front of their classmates, that bottle of lotion helps dry skin that could be an embarrassing physical issue. I always believe that fostering a positive relationship with my students is what helps me make those connections, limits my behavioral problems in the classroom and enables me to teach my students, not only math, but life lessons! \r\n\r\nI couldn't do this without the support of very generous donors like Google.org Teen Mental Health Initiati and I am so grateful for support.
