Kids look forward to our store days and are excited when they go through items and decide what they want or need.\r\n\r\nSome children have even \"purchased\" items with points earned in class for family members, such as much needed hats or gloves or aluminum free deodorants.\r\n\r\nIt's so cute to see kids with fun straw toppers on the straw of their water bottles or stickers on the sides of them. \r\n\r\nThe items you helped bring into our class community are a joy to all and have motivated children to do their best and be their best - creating weekly excitement, as kiddos look forward to shopping.\r\n\r\nBreakfast bars have helped them through morning testing, especially late arrivals who missed the school breakfast in the cafeteria, and Welch's fruit snacks have been a great go to for kids in the afternoon.\r\n\r\nStudents look forward to opportunities to buy hand lotion to moisturize their skin or to give as a gift to their moms that they otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford.\r\n\r\nMechanical pencils and erasers of various kinds have been fun and much sought after by those who really don't like to get up to sharpen a pencil, while regular pencils and eraser toppers have been awesome for me to have on hand in class for students to use freely, as many cannot afford to buy and maintain proper school supplies.\r\n\r\nI don't think I could ever fully express the gratitude for you and other donors who support my projects on Donors Choose. Since GSA is also part of Activist Club, we initially tested out the machine by making a bunch of pride flag buttons for the students in the club and students around the school who wanted to show their pride. \r\n\r\nThen one of our students designed a new logo for the Activist Club after discussing the issues with our logo from two years ago. We did all agree though, to maintain our slogan: Build The Culture.
